And so did I apparently! I had this cue for sale here on AZ as a Randy Anderson for several months with over 2500 views and no interest. I finally dropped it to what I was in it and still couldn't sell it. I was told it was a Randy Anderson when I bought it so I believed it. I got a call yesterday from a guy who studies cue history and really knows his stuff. He tells me that he knows the cue and it is not an Anderson cue at all. In fact, it was made by Richie Florence (aka Dale Patten) from a Gus Szamboti blank with Szamboti rings. I could not believe it. He even had pictures of the cue when it was in a big collection and literature stating the specs of the cue and the build components. I never really looked at the cue that closely until now. Here it is again boys. Richie Florence cue from Gus Szamboti blank..

It's a nice cue. I wonder if there was a problem with the lower part of the blank. That would explain why the gap between the points is so big and the points are so short. Unless Dale just cut it that way on purpose.

Is the pin 18 or 14?

By the way, the list of Cues has a question mark next to that Cue and the Schon for Jom Oswald. Jim owned BilliardsNBagels here in Gresham for nearly 30 years. He closed up Shop nearly a decade ago and passed away a few years later. Jim and Bob Runde had a very good friendship. Per Jim, he convinced Bob to make Cues post Schon and was the sole dealer for 10 or more years.
