How is a taper with NO taper become a taper?
12-14" STRAIGHT is a barrel/cylinder.

The original taper meant a slow gradual growth in the stroking section of the shaft.
Then someone changed it . Somehow it became a cylinder.
The pros play with any taper they like.

There are no standard or double shaft tapers. No such thing.
