Sat. Sept. 20: Michael Grossman, Jr. Memorial 8-Ball Tournament, Palm Beach Billiards

$500-added to this event in memory of Mikey Grossman.

This one-day event is open to male/female players of all skill levels. Starts at 1:00. PLAYERS MEETING 12:30.. Players arriving late are not guaranteed a spot in the tournament.

Format:

One day, Modified Double Elimination
Race to 3
Three divisions: A, B and C. THE HIGHEST FINISHING PLAYERS FROM EACH DIVISION WILL MAKE THE MONEY.
(Pro-level players will spot the A players. Depending on the number of pro-level players, an A+ division may be added.)

We will play down to a Final Single Elimination Board of 16 (assuming 48 players or more)

Players will play players in their own division only to make the Final Single Elimination Board. The Final Board will be handicapped from that point on. For example:

A v. B – the race is 3 – 2. B v. C – the race is 3 – 2. A v. C – the race is 3 – 1.

(A+ players – v. A race is 5 – 3; A+ v. B = 5 – 2; A+ v. C = 5 – 1)

Note: Unknown players may be placed in the highest division.
