i find it interesting that a WOMAN, actually shut-him-up today.
:rotflmao1:

It's no surprise.
I know several people that are afraid of no man.....
...but they are of several women..

Even Chuck Norris knows when to say"Okay, okay!"

And that song is faaaaaar longer than the national anthem!
Usually lazy people leave out parts of the Star Spangled Banner. Here's the whole thing, thanks to Wikipedia. It takes about 1:10 per stanza, for a total of 5:50. Or 4 minutes in the hands of this guy https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sjzZh6-h9fM who is no longer available, but would have been an interesting time out in the middle of matches.

O say can you see by the dawn's early light,
What so proudly we hailed at the twilight's last gleaming,
Whose broad stripes and bright stars through the perilous fight,
O'er the ramparts we watched, were so gallantly streaming?
And the rockets' red glare, the bombs bursting in air,
Gave proof through the night that our flag was still there;
O say does that star-spangled banner yet wave,
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave?

On the shore dimly seen through the mists of the deep,
Where the foe's haughty host in dread silence reposes,
What is that which the breeze, o'er the towering steep,
As it fitfully blows, half conceals, half discloses?
Now it catches the gleam of the morning's first beam,
In full glory reflected now shines in the stream:
'Tis the star-spangled banner, O! long may it wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave.

And where is that band who so vauntingly swore
That the havoc of war and the battle's confusion,
A home and a country, should leave us no more?
Their blood has washed out their foul footsteps' pollution.
No refuge could save the hireling and slave
From the terror of flight, or the gloom of the grave:
And the star-spangled banner in triumph doth wave,
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave.

O thus be it ever, when freemen shall stand
Between their loved homes and the war's desolation.
Blest with vict'ry and peace, may the Heav'n rescued land
Praise the Power that hath made and preserved us a nation!
Then conquer we must, when our cause it is just,
And this be our motto: "In God is our trust."
And the star-spangled banner in triumph shall wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave!

When our land is illumined with Liberty's smile,
If a foe from within strike a blow at her glory,
Down, down with the traitor that dares to defile
The flag of her stars and the page of her glory!
By the millions unchained who our birthright have gained,
We will keep her bright blazon forever unstained!
And the Star-Spangled Banner in triumph shall wave
While the land of the free is the home of the brave.

Egad. The music is bad enough, now it turns out it's 5 times longer than I thought. I say we just take O Canada and stick 'Merica in place of Canada and be done with it. Or use This Land is Your Land. Anything but that monstrosity.

Thank you Andrew, I know where you're coming from:wink:

.I have let it go,since 2007.

I stood and watched and said nothing.

I watched while The US Open has become the world laughing stock
of the "professional" pool circuit.

The reason things have gotten so bad is because we have turned a blind eye,
buried our heads in the sand and let it go,
for years and years.

If I see a car wreck, I stop and make sure everybody is okay,
and pull out the survivors.

Now is not the time for silence.

Barry IMO is a bum… he's a dead horse. The few that take him serious won't for much longer. Just let it die… he did you wrong, as he has others, but eventually you just gotta let it die and move on. You're better than that.

Thanks for the insight, Angel.

I hope things go better this time, but I've had hopes before.

Maybe everyone could go get a drink when the microphone comes out.

:rotflmao1::rotflmao1::rotflmao1::rotflmao1:
wouldn't that be hysterical? the ENTIRE ROOM gets up and leaves....

In movies, when there is a large crowd scene with talking in the back ground, everyone is repeating the words, Mur Mur Rhubarb, Mur Mur Rhubarb.

In England, they repeat Walla Walla Rhubarb. It sounds like a large crowd talking.

When Barry takes the mike, everyone should repeat, Mur Mur Rhubarb.

He will hear everyone talking, but really saying nothing. Just keep doing it until he says, screw it, here is the final match.

Or, start singing, Oh Canada every time he attempts to speak.

Just for you Itsfroze

Four allied soldiers were captured in the Middle East. One was a Scot, one was Irish and one was English and the fourth was an American. They were all condemned to be shot at noon next day. But they were all granted one last request.
The Scotsman said I would like a videotape of 200 Scots men playing Scotland The Brave on the bagpipes
When they asked the Irishman he said: I would like a tape of 200 Irish dancer performing Riverdance.
The American did'nt hesitate: I would like to hear a recording of that 30 minute version of my National Anthem that was played at the US Open.

Finally they asked the Englishman what his last request was to be. He replied: Shoot Me First

Is that it. is that all you got for jokes, when do we laugh.
Just when I was starting to accept the British people for their humor, you had to go
and do that, setting British humor back another 239 years.
No wonder we had a revolution, tea party my ass
