Hi guys/gals!

I am going to be uploading quite a few videos to the CSI YouTube site over the next few weeks/months. So make sure when you go there, you subscribe to the channel or at least bookmark/favorite it to make it easy to go to it again:smile: If you subscribe you can get notified as new videos are uploaded.

I've just uploaded 3 more videos from the 2011 CSI 14.1 High-Run Challenge/Tournament. So far I have uploaded the following videos.
_________________________________________________________

1. Danny Harriman - Video of his High Run of 199 (on a side note, I did locate the 1st 4 racks or so that was missing from this.. I'll upload later)

2. Mika Immonen - Video of his 113 ball High Run

3. Semifinals - Tony Robles vs Darren Appleton

4. Semifinals - Danny Harriman vs Mika Immonen

5. Finals - Tony Robles vs Mika Immonen

___________________________________________________________

Each of the above matches have links to go to that specific match

or you can go here to view the Playlist for all 4 videos

or finally, please go here to the main page, to view some other quality videos.

This is from the 2011 14.1 (straight pool) event that was held during the Nationals. There were prizes given for the Hi-Run, the combined totals of 4 tries at runs, and then a tournament at the end. All in all, a great time held by all! (The 2012 14.1 High-Run Challenge/Tournament this year, is coming up quick, check out the details !)

Look for much more video content to be uploaded to the CSI YouTube page! Subscribe/Bookmark/Favorite it!!! Over the next week or so, I will be uploading much more content from the 14.1 Hi-Run Challenge.

Remember, this event will be held again this year, so start practicing! Mark Griffin and Bob Jewett will probably be putting in the 20k they did last year for anyone that breaks Willie Mosconi's record of 526. Mark would like to get it up to about 100k for anyone that can break it !! For more information, go to www.playcsipool.com or call the CSI Offices at 702-719-7665

Excellent. Are you going to combinte the old with the new Harriman 199 ball run?

I think one of your match uploads might have the wrong opening credit on it.

Thanks again.

thanks guys for pointing out the titling mistake, I've corrected this.

Re: the Harriman video, I will probably redo and re-upload to keep it intact. I'll probably do that near the end of the posting barrage.

Thanks for the videos.

This has probably been discussed to death already but I was watching the Robles/Appleton match last night and was struck by Appleton's bridge length. Do many people play 14.1 with a long bridge or is that something unique to him?

DAZ is primerally a 9-ball 10-ball player, hense the longer bridge length.

14.1 players typically have a shorter bridge, but then again everyone is different.

Appleton and Robles

Thanks for the videos.

I had not noticed it but a lot of these 9 ball style 14.1 players do use longer bridges. I'll have to take a peek.

I was looking at the Robles/Appleton match and was struck by how deliberate Tony Robles is. At first, it annoyed me because I am so impatient (It shows in my game). But it is starting to get more interesting. He looks at exactly where the cue ball will go and exactly how it will come off the balls and finds the place where it will hit the rail and sometimes where it will go after that. He places his stick in these spots. I saw once where he was looking to cut a ball and go into part of the rack. He then looked at where it would hit the rack and traced a path to the bottom rail fairly close to the pocket. He then decided to do something different. Very educational stuff.

The shot at about 3:50 is what really surprised me.

I only got a chance to watch the first 10 minutes or so. I'm going to watch it tonight and pay close attention to Robles's procedure. It sounds a little too methodical for my personality but I can dream...

Whats the down-low on the up-load? I am not computer savvy at all, but would not mind seeing the the run in it's entirety. Once again thanks and congrats to everyone who has been and remains a positive in the promotion of the wonderful game of Straight Pool.

Steve

Talked to several "pros" now exactly about this *phenomen*. All of em just say, that is easier for them to visualize/aim with that kind of bridge-but knowing for sure, that a *shorter* bridge would be safer (accouracy etc.).
What is a fact is, that you need bulletproofed fundamentals-otherwise you would end in a disaster with such a long bridge..if you re not having already a great stroke!

But if you pay attention- as soon as they have a real tough shout, which needs much cueaction, all of em usualy use immediatley a shorter or a closed bridge :)
