I have another nice offering for AZers. Looking to move this fancy Gilbert jump/break with exotic kingwood nose, A+ curly maple points, and genuine ivory inlays. Specs are 58" standard length, 19.7oz (15.9 butt and 3.8 shaft), one shaft (13mm) with standard LBM ferrule and water buffalo tip that Andy uses for his j/b cues.

This cue has the "old style rings" and we received it brand new last winter ('07) right before the Derby. It sold immediately and was traded back into us this spring. Just getting around to offering it up for sale. As you can see, the figure in the kingwood and curly maple is very rich and makes this a real attractive cue !!

The cue has extremely light use and I've just cleaned and resealed the shaft. It's what I would call "like new"....don't see any marks on it....95+% and that's grading it very, very conservatively. The only issue (and this is minor) is that the shaft has a slight bobble when rolled over the rail. Assembled and rolled flat on a table, you don't notice it, but you do see it when rolling the assembled over the edge of the table rail. Rolling the shaft along the flat table surface, you see a slight amount of light refraction. Some might call this a little taper wobble, but you all know what I think about that. Certainly less than 10 thousandths and certainly something you'd never notice playing the cue. The shaft does have some real nice grain with high growth rings per inch.

Definitely one of the nicer playing jump/breaks I've had !! So much so, that I actually thought about making this my daily player.

**Can be yours for $415 shipped [check or money order (conus)]

Weight is pretty fixed as the forearm on this one is not cored.

Please PM me with any questions. Thanks for looking.

Sean

Every time one of these comes up for sale I'm obligated to say that in my opinion Gilbert J/Bs are the best cues out there for the money - you simply can't go wrong with them - I actually used one as my playing cue for a long time despite having many other customs to choose from - and at this price this cue is a good deal.

Agreed. I have a purple heart J/B that I picked up from David Matlock that I used as my main player for awhile. If you could only have one cue to carry around for breaking, jumping, and a player...Andy builds a hell of a cue. Good luck on the sale.

you still have the purple heart cue and is she available

Kenny, thanks for the bump. Just to let everybody know, this cue has no weight bolt. It was made to be on the heavier side, so the kingwood is not cored. Sean
