Don't let anybody know I told you but,,,,,,,,,,,, I have secret information that I am not supposed to release yet.

Coming soon in a PR you will see some very good news from the Viking Cue "Amateur" 9-Ball Tour regarding new outside industry sponsorship.

Look for it on the front page of AZ, IP or other billiard news web sites.

Please when you see it make sure you email the parties involved and let them know you appreciate their sponsorship. If everybody does this we may see more and more sponsorships coming from outside the industry into our sport.

When you see the PR I will make sure it has an email address in it so you can tell the new sponsor if you like their product, will try their product or just simply thank them for their sponsorship to our sport. This could go a very long way for the better good of our sport.

Remember, DO NOT tell anyone I told you !

Thanks,

Mj

Look for this logo on the PR and you will know who, what, where and when.

Jay, if you are doing it. I am in.

Respectfully,

This is great news, but I think it would be better to let the sponsors know that not only do we appreciate their support, but that we will be more likely to (or will) spend our dollars with their company because of it. Then we have to actually follow through and support those sponsors by purchasing their products when we can. The bottom line for a sponsor is is that they need to see that their sponsorship increases their revenue, and/or increases their brand strength and status. I am sure this is what you meant.

If I were buying a product and all things are considered equal between similar vendors/supplier/manufacturers meaning price, quality and service I would be ALL OVER THE SUPPLIER WHO WAS SPENDING SOME MONEY ON POOL EVEN IF IT WASN'T IN MY PART OF THE COUNTRY.

I might even cut them a huss even if they were a little out of line on one of the three. :yeah:

The new Sponsor is great with Jager or with SoCo.

My buddy owned a bar and we had it on tap. Comparing $$$ to other
brands its crazy. Just as good, especially in a mixed drink, for much cheaper.

I will look for the press release.

Hopefully outside sponsors will eventually continue to grow.

I've been cranking out all kinds of emails to them congratulating them on sponsoring pool tournaments and wishing them much success and I finally read that they are looking for a Sales Manager in Baton Rouge/New Orleans area.

I could sell their product standing on my head. Look at their profit calculator and if the numbers are right, a bar/pool room has to be crazy not to have their product especially if they put up money to sponsor pool tournaments.
THE REALLY SMART THING FOR THEM TO DO IS TO PROMOTE local, regional and national pool tournaments. The local Sales Managers could provide a banner for the tournaments, proudly announcing their sponsorship, the added money and a free shot of the Roaring Lion Energy Drink. The players could take their shot toward the end of the tournament when they are wearing down.

I could make them a hell of a deal on supplying banners nationwide.

Anyway, I'm wishing them and Mike Janis the best.

Good luck, Mike!

So what's the deal - will all Viking Tour participants be required to chug one of these energy drinks prior to every match?

You'll have to use some of that sponsor cash to rent a row of porta-potties for every event...

:D
