So I do a trade deal with ForumGhost516, I send him a perfect condition as described Bob Frey 4 point 4 veneer cue, he sends me a Schon in "99%" condition and a Poison cue. I get the cues in the mail and first of all there is no tape on one end of the box, I open the box to find two cues rubber banded together with absolutely no packing material. I pull out the cues to find what I am going to show you in the pics. I contact ForumGhost516 and no response, I wait a day and PM again asking if he got my cue. He responds yes and it is absolutley perfect. No mention of my complaints. I PM again asking why he is dodging the issue of the damaged cues. Here is his response:

Im not dodging anything, I greatly apologize for the way my cues were ship my office manager shipped them. I gave very strict instructions on how they were supposed to be shipped. These were obviously ignored and I have had very harsh words with my office manager when i saw your message. Again i am sorry for the inconvenience in this matter. To make it up to you I can offer you some accustas dvd's as i really dont have anything else to give and while i realize that that isnt the point I am offering anyway. If you feel that you need to leave bad itrader then so be it. I will leave good feedback for you as yes your cue was perfect.

So now I get some "accustas" dvd's and an I'm sorry. By the way notice the last sentence. My question is WHO IS THE LIAR? I left neutral feedback for this BOZO and moved on, then he leaves me a negative calling me a liar!

I would have never accepted that! You traded him a VERY nice cue for 2 OK cues and they come not as described. I would have demanded he send the Frey back WITH packaging protecting it.

What kind of excuse is that anyways? He let his office manager send his cues? Sounds like BS to me..
 
I have had several transactions with Doug and have shipped multiple times here from thailand and there has never been a problem.:)
 
Ask for your cue back and send his cues back just the way it came.

A few dvds to make up the difference?!?! LOL

The cue is not 99.9%. His packaging and his math stinks.
 
I had a bad feeling about Casper...There is no way in hell I would of accepted those cues, and to blame his office manager..priceless...This deal should be an unwind...Thank you for posting this, I will not do business with ForumGhost516 .....

he could of kept the dvds and just paid to have the cue refinished. that way everyone gets to keep the cues they wanted.
 
I don't think that the damage was done from shipping. I think the cue was in bad shape and misrepresented. He is using the packing and shipping as a bad excuse.

I wouldn't ask for him to send your cue back because he will ship it back the same way.

The fair thing to do is for him to pay for a refinish.
 
You really need to get your cue back and send this junk back to him. Unacceptable and Unbelievable. Good luck Doug

That is a real shame. I know the Frey was in pristine condition. Either way, whether the cue was damaged before shipment, or whether it was damaged during shipment, it should be rectified. Scott Sherbine of Proficient Billiards will refinish a cue for $85 plus shipping, and that would be money well spent to make the deal right and preserve my good name, if it were me.

As for having my office manger ship it, I would personally never have asked one of my administrative assistants to handle a personal item like this for me when they were being paid to perform a real job. Of course, I never asked them to bring me coffee, either.

OK, the words tough luck weren't used, but the words all I can do is give you some DVD's were. You left me a negative feedback for a perfect cue that I sent you. This is not about money, this is about me getting a negative feedback for no reason and being called a liar when you sent me a piece of junk cue. You said "I will leave you good feedback as your cue was perfect" Who is the LIAR?? I don't want you to send me the Frey back as I don't trust you. If you want to send me a $100 to pay for a refinish I will except that, but I want that negative feedback removed.

I've spoken with you on the phone and traded some PMs as well....I have the feeling that you take pride in the cues you own :)

I would have to agree with Joe and the others here that ForumGhost516 dropped the ball here and, that he didn't take the necessary time to make sure the cues were packaged correctly before they were sent to you.

We all make mistakes but, at the very least, IMHO ForumGhost516 should give you the option of paying for all the costs of a refinish (if that is what you want Doug) or, that he (ForumGhost516) should pay the freight to have the cues shipped back to both parties.

It's a really unfortunate situation but, things happen and the AZ Jury will rule in your favor Doug. Best wishes for a timely resolution in this matter for you :shakehead:
 
I would want my cue back, with packaging to protect it and then I would send his crap back.

No excuses needed or accepted.

the neg itrader should be grounds for banning since you can prove that he did it based on a lie.
 
sounds like we're on the path to resolving this. try not to get personal, and this will work out hopefully.

ghost, you know this forum is (for the most part ;) ) is a good group of guys that will extend their hand to most anyone. take advantage and they'll stand behind you in the future...
 
I agree Bankr. It appears he's offered consolation of $100. I'd say matter resolved. Good for both of you.
 
The Defandent has pleaded guilty and agreed to pay a sum of 100usd as compensation.The plaintiff has agreed as he has given his paypal for money to be sent.

CASE DISSMISSED:D:D:D:D

Everyone of us can make mistake but the best part is forumghost realised his mistake and offered the compensation to resolve the matter quickly.This proves that we should not take each other for granted and state the correct facts while making a sale.

Lets forgive and move on:D

Any of us can have a bad day or decison.
