It is hard for us to decide who's the winner. The videos by EatPool and BigRigTom both have the highest entertainment valuse. However their runs were not completed (Please come back again and give it a try at our next contest )

My opinion of how to run this rack

I like shooting about a half ball hit on the one with 3 oclock english bringing the cueball near center table which takes out the side pocket scratch and the because going too far past the two is worse than coming a little short.

This sets up for going two rails after shooting the two and planning to get on the right hand side of the 3 so you can go 3 rails off the 3 for shape on the 5. Going 3 rails like this eliminates the chance of getting hooked by the 7.

When cutting the 5 in I make sure not to get on the right hand side of the 7 by too much. When shooting the 7 my goal is to get an angle on the 8 and come within two diamonds of the 8 for shape.

Shooting the 8 with low left english for easy shape on the 9.

I will be anxious to hear what pros would say is the easiest way for a player to run out. I don't claim to have a high speed but I do watch the pros play a lot.

Great contest btw! I will take part in anything like this in the future.
 
Thin the 1 on the right side (medium speed) playing the cueball with high and a hair of right english drifting off the rail and back down table. Leave yourself short of dead straight on the 2 and play it (with a little low right on whitey) in the bottom left corner. The cue will travel off two rails and out toward the middle of the table.

The 3 of course goes in the bottom right corner. If you wind up too straight, draw back (just enough to leave yourself above the 7) for the 5 in the lower left corner. If you leave an angle, you can use the rail to get back here.

PLy the 5 in the lower left with a touch of high right (and a soft to medium stroke) coming one rail up for the 7 in the corner. When shooting the 7 (obviously in the top left corenr) be sure to leave an angle on the 8 allowing you to use the long rail (with a bit of low left) to come back up table for the 9 in the top left corner.
 
Good run-out...didn't consider going to the short side of the 5 but it does eliminate getting hooked by the 7. I think I set my up so the 5 only had about 1/2 a pocket past the 9 ball.

You got too straight on the 9 and had to jack-up because of the wall :)

Great video! I noticed you use ring hole stickers to set ball locations... a great idea!

I want reveal a little "hidden function" in CueTable which can be very useful. In any layout with balls on the table, you can get location measurements for a 9' table by pressing "R" ( Shift+R key) and pasting in a text doc.

For example, here are the measurements for the contest layout:

1 Ball: 0.00 in from right, 0.70 in from top
2 Ball: 19.16 in from left, 21.55 in from top
3 Ball: 10.01 in from right, 7.65 in from bottom
5 Ball: 4.72 in from left, 18.07 in from bottom
7 Ball: 15.73 in from left, 12.51 in from top
8 Ball: 36.32 in from right, 2.50 in from top
9 Ball: 0.14 in from left, 18.35 in from top
Cue Ball: 39.75 in from right, 17.38 in from bottom

I totally forgot about the competition and i have been playing all day.

I will take the top half of the shirt. I've been working on my abs and I might bring the "half shirt" style back.
