That is a great looking PFD cue, one of the best ones he has done, and he has done many!

Thanks everyone for the kind words. Trust me, the cue in person is breathtaking! And it plays lights out too.

Very nice...

thank you for sharing...if only Paul had sharpened the points on the ebony it would be flawless!

That is one of the prettiest cues I have ever seen...

Is that a pale pink inlay or is it a cream color? Either way, it's stunning! Especially the tiny little silver stars in the bands...

Definitely worth the wait.

I would have preferred that as well, I must have overlooked asking for those points to be extra sharp. My bad, but in the end i'm very happy. :)

All the inlays are white ivory. The silver in the rings are awesome. There are even little silver rings with ebony inlays in them too.

Many of you have asked about me about my experience with PFD.

I'll just post here for all to read, if you still have more questions you can still pm me.

Paul is great to work with. I started of sending him my designs. Most of the ideas i had were from other cues i've seen from other cue makers. We were both on the same page as wanting something similar but different. So I'd ask about his or that and he would tell me what his thoughts were on it. In the end EVERY idea we came up with was a home run. I wanted ivory and silver ring work, he came up with the design you see in the cue. I was thinking about 8 long point, he suggested 5 for the simple fact that 8 would make the inner ivory point so narrow that it wouldn't be worth it. We want to really SEE the ivory, not be so thin that we say it's white so it must be ivory. I was unsure what type of ivory joint i wanted, his is the best hands down.

I wish you could all see the ivory in this cue. It's the most stunning ivory i've ever seen. The grain is unbelievable.

The ebony is hands down the best i've seen.

Paul would also call and/or email me every week or so with updates. Paul made sure that every little detail was not overlooked.

You can't go wrong with PFD studios.

Also, when i was on vacation last year in New York city he invited my wife and i to his house. He was great. We walked us through his shop and showed us many of his cues. Let me tell you that Paul has the best woods i've ever seen. You name it he has it.

Anyway, i hope you get the picture.

Some people have said the pictures are a little yellow, or at least the ivory looks yellow? Very interesting, on my pc everything looks white.

And the ivory is white, trust me. :)

I will try to take better pics again later.

Glad you finally got around to posting the photos. We were beginning to worry that you were never leaving the pool hall. hehe!! Man, you weren't kidding, that is one monster of a cue right there. I'd be afraid to take it out in public. Interesting that you went with the inlaid grip area as opposed to a wrap. Very neat looking design. Don't let it get stolen.

as for taking photos, Tikkler recommends taking the photos in natural light, like outside. I'm seeing pink in the ivory over here too, but I know it's just the pics

PFD Cue

I've always liked wrapless cues with inlays in the handle and your PFD is one of the nicest i've seen. Congratulations on this very nice cue.
