cue fix

I have a cue I would like to know who made it. I do not know how to post pictures. Will someone give me your email so I can email them to you to have you post them for me. All I can say without pictures is that I took off the wrap and found the following: B.J. and what I believe to be a D and a date of 4-20-99. The D could be an 11 or IL but it looks more like a fancy D with a - after it to start the date. You can definately see the first line of the D and the curve part faded.

Picture 1........ The bottom of the pic is just a goof on my part. When I was shifting the picture around, I accidently left a little extra on the bottom. The cue is not chopped off like it looks.

I'm guessing that the letters under the wrap were the initials of a previous owner. They were probably put there as a means of identifying the cue if it were ever stolen. Just a guess though.

Thank you TX POOLNUT for posting the pictures for me. It is appreciated. I would also at this time thank all those who responded to my last post inquiring of leather wraps. The last initial is hard to distinguish. I believe part of it is faded. I have looked at it a number of times and have come up with about three different ones. I first thought it was a U now I think it is a D. Could be an i. Anyway, if someone has an idea let me know.

Definitely a lack of opinions on this one. I am a cue collector but am no expert,I see a few things that remind me of a Palmer from the 70's. Are all the stitch's on the rings the same color? Palmer cues made some cue butts that had similar windows but the points don't look Palmeresk to me. I know its a hassle but adding a pic of the joint area and putting it in the cue makers forum might get you some help. Good luck on this one and by the way nice cue.

The stitching reminded me of Joss West but with the writing under the wrap and the ET on the buttcap I am just unsure of who it could be.
Nice cue by the way.

It looks mid 70's for sure, if it were down here in FL I'd guess Tillis if it has an 18 thread pin in it.

Thank you to all who have commented on the cue. Some of the writing on the cue has faded a bit. Have to look at it just right to see some of it. It has a date on it 4/20/99. It is deffinately a B.J. initials Then it could be an i but I think it's a D.- or it could be iL. It has a 5/16x18 piloted joint. I do not have any original shafts. The rubber bumper is small and fits into the cap with a small L wrench screw that screws into a bigger screw with a regular screw head. Butt weighs 16oz. I am hoping someone out there will know. Some have said Rocky Tillis, But if so why would it have B.J. as initials? Thanks again and hoping for more information.

The BJ could just be a cuemakers way of making notes, perhaps he was going to make a Break Jump cue out of that piece of wood.
