I am looking for a Mcdermott I2 shaft, but not just any I2.

I want one of the original shafts when they were produced in the 1st year.

It will have the 1 inch ferrule.

I am looking for a black collar with brass ring in collar, standard 3/8 10 shaft.

If anyone has one or knows of one for sale please let me know.

Mike

I have an original I2, and they have always come with the short 1/2" ferrule. The I1 has a bigger ferrule, but the I2 always had the shorty.

good luck in your search.

No.. You are wrong. I have been selling I2's since the day they came out. The original ones had the 1 inch ferrule. I have one right now that I play with.

I have had about 15 with the long ferrrules. All different jt. sizes. Just sold them all and looking to try to get one back.

shaft

Noone has come up with one of these yet. Anyone have a older 3/8 10 I2 shaft with the 1 inch ferrule.

Mike

My thread is the other thread linked, i'm actually 'buying' an i3 shaft from someone and I had a question on the longer furrel. btw here is an email from Jayme at McDermott about the long furrels.

Our first generation i-shafts were made with our standard 1 1/8" ferrule length for about 6 months.

spanky, how do these shafts play?

I'm deciding to get 1. But I've never like Predator shafts, hope ishafts work and give a better feel than predator shafts.

I don't have an i-2, but I do have i-1 with the longer ferrule, 3/8 x 10. Let me know if you'd be interested.

To Pooltrip

Just so you have one opinion. I tried the predator shafts, universal smart shafts, meucci black dot shafts, and tiger shafts. I could never get used to them. I had a McDermott refinished with a I-2 and fell in love with the hit right away. I recently had Joe Calalluca make a cue and had him use 2 I-2 shafts for it. I think they are fantastic and worth a try for you. Definetly different than Pred. shafts, and better for me. Not all will agree, but thats just my opinion.

Good luck
Jason

Havent found one yet.

I have an original proto type I2. It has the green ring on it with black logo.
I love the way it plays. I have had several predators. I just cant get used to the shorter ferrules. Its psychological I guess.

Good luck.

Spot on Mike. First time I tried a 1/2" ferrule one shot was enough. By chance I was forced to use another cue with a 3/4" ferrule. After the race I realised it wasnt so bad. Now I can play 1/2" ferrules.
Can't cross the 1/4" psychological line yet tho.

Can you get yours custom fitted Mike?
