Ok, gotten lots of pms - thanks Mike for the LIMITS (not). So here it is in it's own thread as I think the info is lost in the other one AND so that I don't have to keep typing the same thing in pms.

Due to popular demand - all ten of you :-) For the rest of the week I will take any and all orders on the new case line we are bringing out. After that you will have to wait until Sterling gets them and they will cost $349 for the 2x4.

What is it? A Jay Flowers style case - old school style with some JB voodoo thrown in.
Size: 2x4
Interior: Instroke style tubes and construction in black (other colors on request).
- OPTIONAL Lightweight version made of a single large tube with a fabric/foam rubber interior. This version weighs - 3.75 or 3lbs 12 ounces.
Capacity: 31.5" Butts and shafts fit either direction.
Weight: Tube Version - 4.8lbs (4lbs 12oz) Fabric Divider Version 3.75lbs (3lbs 12oz)
Leather: Top Grain Veg tan tooling leather.

You may see some completed cases at this thread http://forums.azbilliards.com/showthread.php?t=116208
Size Option: Yes - contact me for pricing.
Shoulder Pad: yes - not shown
Personalizing: Yes - contact me for details. Limited choice.
Other Questions: Don't ask ;-) Just kidding ask away.

The Brown one has the FLOWER pattern.
The Black one has the CIGAR pattern.

JF1.JPG

THE BLACK ONE IS INCOMPLETE. SHOWN FOR INFORMATION ONLY.

What I will do it have each one numbered as they come off the line. IBA has number one and someone else has number two. Each person's case will be numbered in the order that they ordered it. The person's name who ordered the case will also be carved into it along with the number in an inconspicuous location. This is just something in the event that they ever become - gasp - collectible. (not going there)

So here is the deal: Until the cases go to mass production I will accept all orders at the introductory price of $275 shipped to your door. Only the people who have paid by the time the case is made will have their name stamped into the case along with the production number. That way if someone drops out the case can be sold to another person. Payment must be made before the case ships. I prefer PayPal. my paypal is paypal@jbideas.com my email is jb@jbideas.com -

More information in this thread http://forums.azbilliards.com/showthread.php?t=114166 - And sorry for the double thread on the same item - I didn't expect it to explode like this. As penance I will also donate 5% of all sales of this case during this promotional period to the AZ Billiards fund.

John,

Are these cases a limited edition or will they be part of your catalog of cases?
Either way they look great and I am sure they will be a hit.
By the way, you look like a guy I met in Deadwood maybe 10-12 years ago. If this is you, I wanted to say sorry that I never got a chance to sit and chat with you. I was really razzing you with the jump cue and was just playing, but never got a chance to let you know that. I left feeling kinda bad for giving you such a hard time and wanted to buy you a beer. Please accept my apologies, and if our paths cross again, the 1st one is on me.

Sincerely,

Jay Jensen

They will be a permanent part of Sterling's catalog. I remember you!!! Just kidding but thanks for remembering me. I must have gotten hot under the collar or something. I sure did enjoy the tournament in Deadwood though - probably about 8-9 years ago. I went a couple times and one time my wife and I cleaned up in the calcutta! That was where they had people grouped together for calcutta buys. No apologies needed and the beer's on me!

Whats the shipping time from ordering to actual delivery to Sherman Oaks Ca 91403..Thanks

Well..... we went from shipping in 18 hours to shipping in 7-10 days due to demand. So right now we can ship in about a week and half from confirmed order.

Update:

Someone else brought up that it might be better to just number the cases.

So BY DEFAULT - the cases will be numbered as they are made WITHOUT an accompanying customer name. Anyone who has ordered a case can have their name alongside the number for free just by asking. I will also ask everyone to confirm what they want - with name or without.

To clarify: this is to identify who got what number of this new line. Names alongside it are optional and free.

Something like this :

"09-2008 - 0001"
"John Barton"

Very small in an inconspicuous place like on the handle strap.

Would everyone who sent me money please PM me with your real name so I can match it to the payments?

Somehow I have a few payments that I can't match to a user or the case that they want.

Sorry about this but I spent all night juggling PMs and somehow I have money without knowing what AZ'er it came from.

Edit: DUH, I can email the people I got payments from. I really need sleep.

Great looking Case John......NOW (1) Question. How long a Butt Shaft Section will the Case take, and will the Shafts/Butts go in either direction.

Thanks Shawn! When you are ready for a new round of sponsorship let me know. Now that I am back in the game I am looking to renew some relationships.

John

P.S. I forgot to give credit where credit is due. The work you saw at the show was not just my work. All the highly carved cases were the work of the Jiasen Cue Case Company, who is making these Jay Flowers revival cases as well. To see the work Shawn is referring to check out this link http://www.jbcases.com/gallery/main.php?g2_itemId=2602

And the new lines of sporty wave cases are the work of another factory I run. These are all a team effort from top to bottom. I really think though that the "best in the world" is so subjective that it's hard to give anyone that title. I'd be happy with being known as the guy who can make $5 or $1500 cases. I think that each case maker except me has a genre that they specialize in that qualifies them as the best in the world at that style. Looking at Jack Justis' work I'd say that for this style of case, which I call the Flowers style, he is the best right now. I'd say that I am the most diverse, with the ability and willingness to try any type of case.

A reminder that today is the last day for the special prices.

As of right now AZ Billiards Members have contributed just under $200 to the AZ Players Fund through this promotion. Doesn't that tug at your heartstrings.

I have a goal to sell a certain number of cases this week and I am about 10 shy of that goal. So if there are ten more of you who want to be among the first to share in the revival of the Jay Flowers style of case then pony up. Any inquiries until midnight will qualify for the price even if you decide tomorrow what you want.

My PM Box is all cleared out. (for the fourth time this week Mike!)

Thanks to everyone that has ordered and your cases will start going out this weekend.

Also I'd like to encourage you to read the first post before asking me something. I have added information there and you might find the answer you need.

JB,

Sorry for the confusion. Did you receive my payment since I changed paypal address?

Yes I did. Thank you. Next time I do something like this I should be prepared to file all the info. It's hard going back through PMs.

Wasn't a problem when I just wanted to sell two cases at the beginning of the week. Getting through a couple hundred PMs in three days hasn't been fun. TIP: Download then to CSV and open it with Excel. I didn't learn this until today. Much easier than downloading them in XML and trying to get through that.

So you wanted the bright pink with "the world's got the 11" engraved inside the bottom pocket right? ;-)

What's gonna be cool are all the pictures when all these are done. Ought to be a nice assortment.
