Wow those case are elegant.

those are awesome, they arnt elephant ear-its just elephant, their ears arnt quite that big, its armpit skin on one and a back panel on the other one. elephant skin is pretty much the same over the whole thing, I have skinned alot of elephants over the years, The best thing about elephant skin is it lasts FOREVER and then 100 more years.

I will take you at your word, that being said I have to attempt a guess, the top Thomas is the armpit skin and the bottom Thomas is the back panel?

THE TOP IS THE BACK AND THE BOTTOM IS THE CHEST/ARMPIT/BELLY oops sprry for caps. its like this elephants have lose skin but its brutally heavy so it kinda hangs off of them thus the bottom skin is more wrinkly than the top or back skin. Skinning a elephant is ALOT of work and it comes off in panals, more on bulls than cows just because you have to carry it to the truck and into the tannery 2 guys carry each piece. the skin on a huge bull might weigh 700-1000 pounds it puts the truck down on its springs. Its like lead alot heavier than it looks, they scrape it all night to get it ready for the salt, I have pics and videos of dismanteling a elephant-chopping out the tusks, cooking the meat in a shovel while thats happing-you get hungry out there, skinning them I have it all on tape and stills from alot of them, I have hunted elephant about 180 days of my life-I know it well, in that time I have shot 14 of them. It takes 10 guys 3 hours to field skin the thing. Nothing goes to waste-they eat the intistines too!! oh and the trunks-yuck! you oftn see car seats made from elephant there its dirt cheap leather.
