A dear friend of Waldo's has had these shafts for many years he had Rocky make them for a old Palmer he had. He sold the Palmer to us a few years back and kept the extra shafts.

Here is the info on the shafts

See the last picture it is of the Palmer.

Both shafts roll VERY straight and in excellent condition. I would almost say not used much at all if any.

Silly question.. but I want to be sure.. will the shafts fit a 5/16-14 joint... it should right?? not as tight maybe?? Cheers...

A 5/16-18 thread is completely incompatible with a 5/16-14 thread. You couldn't even get the shaft to thread onto the butt without destroying the threads on the shaft, butt, or both.

It isn't a silly question. These shafts have 5/16x18 brass inserts to fit an old Palmer cue. If you wanted them to fit a 5/16x14 thread pin, it would be no trouble for someone like Ryan Theewan (RAT cues) to change...I think he gets $20-25 each to do that.

The most important point for me would be the joint measurement. He said these are 0.790" at the joint. Most newer cues are around 0.842" at the joint.

These look like great shafts. If anyone had an old Wille Hoppe cue (the 2 piece version) or a conversion made from one of them, they usually had this sized joint, and these would be perfect for them. Wish I had one. This is some good wood.
