Everyone here at Thoroughbred and World Class appreciate the things AZ does for us all. We have been kicking around some ideas about how to help, and we came up with this way to give back to our community.

These cues were created expressly to raise funds for Az. How are we going to do that? Every 5th cue will be donated to Az to do with what they see fit as a way to raise funds for their endeavors.

The cues are made here in Jackson, TN, in our shop, under the supervision of the master cue makers Jess June, Tommy Clements, and Tony Clifton. Each cue will carry the $ insignia, representing the main focus of the cues, raising money for AZ.

The cues start out with aged, selected woods form the inventory of Bill McDaniel's old stock. Then they are carefully assembled to the same exacting tolerances as a World Class or Thoroughbred cue. They receive the same highest quality ,tried and true UV finish that has proved both durable and reliable for the last twenty years, holding the mirror like shine for decades.

To add extra value to an already great deal, we decided to hot rod them up a little with the addition of Ivory ferrules and genuine Elephant Ear wraps, unless they have exotic wood handles. The shafts are quality, straight grained maple with very little sugar spots. We also tried to add a variety of joint configurations to offer something for everyone's taste.

I know this is getting long, so we will get to the particulars of the cues. Each cue $600, plus shipping and insurance. Paypal preferred. Bottom cue pictured is cue on it's way to AZ, a Bacote beauty with a black Elephant Ear wrap that will be paired with a special one of a kind case from master case maker John Barton. Thanks to Mr. Barton from everyone here at our shop. We would also like to thank everyone in advance for taking time out of their busy schedule to view and consider these cues.

Let me answer a couple of questions. Paypal is preferred, but USPS Money Orders and Western Union will be fine as well. Also, no trades on these. Thanks for all the questions so far, let's get these sold for a good cause!

Support AZ

So - for an executive summary:

1) The faster these cues sell the faster a 5th cue is built.

2) Payment for each 5th cue goes 100% to AZBilliards.com forum to help expenses.

3) Cues will have an genuiine elephant wrap (unless wood wrap) and ivory ferrules. (not necessarily from the same beast)

4) 5th cue in this batch has a John Barton's matching case.

(Now I am lost relative to the 5th cue's price including the case - although the Maker's Mark bourbon and water may be starting to takes its desired effect.)

Questions are:

- What is the cost of the 5th cue including case addition.

- Do all 1 - 4th cues need to sell before the 5th can be procured.

- How do we procure the 5th cue? {Pay you, Mr. Wilson, etc.}

Kudos, and TAP - TAP - TAP for this inovative way to help out this forum.

- Last question <Mr. Wilson>, why is this still not a sticky ???

:D

Thanks for the questions. AZ will set the price and how the fifth cue and case are sold. The fifth cue will be available as soon as the first four sell.
AZ will collect and deliver every fifth cue. I sent the first fifth cue to AZ today. It never occurred to me to ask for this thread to become a sticky, but it is a good idea. Hope this helps. HEH

This is a great gesture Tommy. Monster shafts on all of these cues!!!
BTW, I have a Mcdaniel and a World Class cue and they both play the same-great. I loaned the WC cue, that I got from you,to a friend while his cue was being refinished, now he won't give it back.
thanks and good luck-jeff

UPDATE===> CUE 3 AND 4 SOLD! I WANT TO THANK EVERYBODY FOR THE TREMENDOUS RESPONSE. Cue 1 and 2 still available. It would be great to sell these two this weekend and allow AZ to profit from the sale of the fifth cue and Barton case. HEH

What a great response from everyone in support of AZ. We have one cue to go and then the AZ cue and case will be available for sale, with 100% of the profit going to AZ!

Thanks Steve. That little cue from Jackson is gonna be in the best of company! Thanks you again for helping us help AZ.

Wow - Great idea and some nice looking cues in that line up.
Looking forward to seeing more of these cues hit the market.
Love the 5th cue.

The case will be a JB Envelope case - but we don't know what that is yet. :-)

I have wanted to do an envelope case for a while and Tommy gave me this opportunity to be a part of this donation so here we go.

Whoever gets the cue will get an Envelope case of their choice in size. We will tool a name on it and do some design. All of of our custom cases start at $400 so that's the value of the case.

Just let me know who the winner is or who to talk to and we will go from there.

Envelope case!! Now you are talking John. Our little project has to have this style now.
