How many years?

I have got to know many of you that post here. I have read threads on your equipment, your pool halls and how you got your user names. Now I am curious on how many years you have been playing. I can remember rolling balls on a neighbors table when I was seven so that means I have been playing for 41 years:eek:

I guess not long enough because my game has shown no improvment
whatsoever. I still love the game though.

I have been playing since I was 17 so I guess that's 24 years. It still seems like it was yesterday when I was 17. :)

Guys the reason I posted this is I had just missed two object balls that were all but gimmies and I started to think why do you miss easy shots that we have all made thousands of times? The game is ridiculously difficult. It has been years since I saw it but I think Bob Meucci had figured out mathematical how hard the game was. He had something about the margin of error measured in thousandths of a inch when you try to make two objects that are radius-ed come together at a precise point.

I was already sweating pool matches at the Golden Q in Queens NY by 1966, but I didn't begin playing until February 1969.

Hence, I'm three months short of my 40 year anniversary of beginning my life over the glorious green felt.

I learned how to draw the cueball 7 years ago. been studying the game ever since.

I started back in 2004, loved the game and wanted to get better so I started to research how to get better on the internet. Which led me to sign up onto this site in 2004 :grin-square: , and many many many videos of pros playing lol.

I remember playing in bars when I was a kid...like 7 or 8 but I first figured out how to use a bridge when I was 11...So I have been playing for 10 years...competitively for only three.

....I've come a long way but have a lot to learn.....a lot

Ohh man wheres the calculator? Ok lets see. I started playing at Mels Bowling alley in Alameda Ca in 1986. This is 2008 with a 9 year off period so that would be 13 years? I think. It's too late.:boring2:
