I guess it's obvious from my crappy cel phone pics that I am not, repeat NOT a photographer, but this cue was too special to keep to myself.
My old buddies Harry Richards and Chris Holden put his together for me from a piece of cocobola that's as near "burl" as I have ever seen, and a drawing I did.
I found the piece at a local supplier, and while I have never played with a "merry widow" I knew this would be HOTT!!!! I don't know if you can make it out, but there are two swirls in the forearm, two "eyes".
There are two more eyes, that look like an owl's face, in the accent ring in the butt.
The Leather wrap is from Martin, I think it's the "Bison" pattern.
The pin is my first ever radial, with the thin steel collar, only this one is wood lined, not sleeved over phenolic.
Linen based ferrules, GOMS, hard le Pro's, and Harry's stiff taper. This thing hits like a TANK!!! It's like tapping a tea cup against a cement block. I LOVE IT!!!! A LOUD *BINK* almost like it has a phenolic tip.
