I just took this cue back on a trade. It's a VERY NICE older Alex Brick Jump/Break/Player with 2 shafts.
I believe the butt is made from some highly figured Bolivian Rosewood, the forearm is straight grain maple. This cue is in 90+% condition; as the forearm has a couple small/minor marks as does the breaking shaft from being used.
This is an excellent playing cue with the original matching shaft which I'm told has a DPK taper. The breaking shaft does not have matching ringwork (I believe it was made by another AZ'er) but, it does break the balls extremely well :wink:
Butt handle 14.8 oz (silver ringwork with inlays of Cocobola or Rosewood), original shaft (matching joint/ringwork) 3.8 oz, 13mm LBM ferrule w/Moori tip; break shaft (non-matching joint/ringwork --changed to all black now) 4.7 oz, 12.8mm brown phenolic ferrule/tip combo. Overall length is 58", this cue balances with the playing shaft at 18.5" from the butt.
This cue has been refinished using a natural Tung Oil finish. The black phenolic ring on the forearm side of the jump joint was added to help protect it from cracking in the future.
