This cue is old and beautiful. It' situation is very nice.
The collector has made a collection of it for more than ten years.
Today it is very hard to find a high-class Ernie Martinez.

Very nice Ernie Martinez cue.

You don't see too many of them with the "floating" look
Definitely a rare and beautiful cue
Do you have any more EM cues in your collection?

Very interesting
Thanks for sharing

if Ernie made this cue he either outright copied it, which i doubt, or had templates made by or programs lent from Leonard or Donald Bludworth to cut the pockets and inlays or it was made by Leonard or Donald and Ernie put a cap on it and put his logo there or somethin' fishy is goin' on........how do i know?....well this was a simple design i gave to Leonard back in the mid 90's. as far as i know it was not lent to Ernie. in fact i don't think Ernie would make a cue like this. where did you get the cue??? i'd suggest you talk to your collector friend and then Ernie. could be a cheap knock-off

I've never heard of Ernie doing much with floating points. It really doesn't look like his work to me either.

I had an Ernie with floating ivory points, ivory buttcap and ivory joint, laether wrap and two perfect shafts.
Wish I still had it!!! But when you'r kid needs braces.....
It was a very different design than this one however. I mention this just to say that as unusual as it is, he has done them.

he has but like you said not like this. that's why i'm more than pretty confident that it's either a Blud with a replacement cap or a cheap knockoff someone passed off as an Ernie cue.

It appears to be a Colorado Cue (Dan Breggin) with a Ernie Martinez butt cap....Very interesting....

This cue is offering for sale at Taiwan's yahoo auction page. Did Ernie sell any cues to Taiwan before? I was told a few dealers imported Ernie's cue to Taiwan back in 90's.

as i said i gave this design to Leonard Bludworth. It's his. there is a slight possibility that he let Dan use it but i doubt it. i also gave some design work to Dan but not this one.

i'm pretty sure, 99%, Ernie did not make this cue......it's either a Blud ( slight chance Colorado Cue) with a repaired cap, or a copy... either being passed of as a Martinez........i'll stick to that till Ernie says different.......

I just asked my borther and this is not a cue he made. He would not make a cue like this in his life!!!
