This is the Parabolic I just picked up from Tony. It was made for my son, Brian. Becuase unlike me...he plays rather well..LOL

Allthough all Black Boar cues play fabulous, this cue is just incredible.

Steve, What's "Parabolic"? The name of the Cue or a dimentional property of the cues shape?
Love that Joint Collar..

Super cue. I like the way he does the face of his ivory joint with the steel.

Would you take a picture of the joint with the shaft screwed on? I'm curious how that small steel ring would look.

Aesthetically, Tony is one of my favorite cuemakers. He and Haley really do it for me.

Tony also has the absolute best website of any cuemaker. There is SO much information on there. I read through the whole site one day.

Steve, keep it up. I love seeing the posts by tikkler. I always know there is something good hiding in there. You've got great taste in cues.

Alton....The cue is shaped a bit different with the butt getting slimmer. For more information on the Physics that went into the design of the cue...I cant help there..LOL

Matta...thanks for the compliments and I can send you a better pic

any man that quotes Pete Townsend is a friend of mine........

The joint collar work is unreal. I bet it plays like a monster, but don`t all BB cues. Love looking at your pics & your comments about all these different cues in your collection. Keep them coming sir. And if I get to the SBE this year, I hope we cross paths just to meet you sir. Jeff

Steve,

Bad news man. Santa says that you haven't been very good this year. I, on the other hand, have been practically a saint. Please save him a trip, and just send that cue to me.

Seriously though - Does that cue also have the low deflection shafts? I'm talking about the ones without the ferrules?

Mike...

BEAUTIFUL cue as always by BB.
I can see where the forearm gets fat like two inches down from the face.
But the buttsleeve is slim.
I'm guessing the joint size is around .838 and the bottom is 1.240.

ok

How much do you want for it?
:D
I hope your son enjoys this cue for years to come.
My search for the best cue ended with my BB.
(until I can get a 6 or 8 pointer)

Very nice player. Do the shafts have ferulles??.

These two are Tonys regular shafts. He is making a ferrulless shaft for the cue

Parabolic Taper

I know that BlueGrass uses a parabolic taper and I think SW and several others.

I had a 'parabolic' Black Boar several years ago, the butt is cigar shaped - fattest point is in the middle of the wrap.

Great playing cue, one that I wish I still had.

Hi Dick,
Which one did you have?
Anybody,
Know how many of these Tony has made?
Thanks!

These cues are shaped like a torpedo/cigar/javelin?

the cues widest point is about 3-4 inches from the end of the wrap. After that point it tapers back down as it goes to the bumper. As tony was explaining all this and the physics behind it and all the flexing points and so on....I kinda got lost....well not kinda...I really got lost...LOL

All I know is this cue plays like nothing I have ever seen before....and now my kids got it. So now when we play 125 straight pool, instead of him winning 125 to like 39....its gonna be 125 to 16......Oh well
