My "Sneaky Paul" Gus Szamboti

Gus made this cue for me in the mid-seventies before there was the coined term "Sneaky Pete". I call it "Sneaky Paul". I have been trying to play this year for the first time in thirty years (although I did play for six weeks in 1987). It is slowly coming along. I tried a couple of the new technology cues and I did not do very well. I prefer this "Gus Szamboti Sneaky Paul" (deflection and all) to any cue I have ever had in my hands. It hits em so sweet.

Question

Anyone know how many Sneaky Pete's were made by Gus? This is the ultimate player cue made by one of the best to every touch a lathe!!!

Paul you have some GEMS and your table is pretty as well.

Nice Cue...if your son's name isnt Paul you can leave it to me to keep the tradition!!!

If I agree that you are the original, will you sell me this Sneaky Paul?
How about a trade, and I will include a fantastic cue plus cash?

You are the sneakiest sneaky on earth

It's not the only one I have seen, but it's certainly rare and awesome. I've heard of Gus building a few at a time for at least one road player to pick up on his way through Philly and to sell along his travels.

WOW.

Wanna trade?

I have a white 2007 Mustang GT you might like if you like muscle cars

What's a Gus sneaky even worth? I'd LOVE to get one some day

Danny

In 2003 Danny Basovitch was playing in a Viking tournament at Northfield Billiards. His cue looked like a sneaky Pete when I asked him who made it he replied it was a Gus Szamboti house cue. It was not in the pristine condition Mr. Scofields is in.
