Pretty sure it is not elephant ivory

is the buttcap ivory?

I am almost certain that the butt cap is not Ivory. It sure is one of the best substitute ivory materials if indeed it is not a real Ivory butt cap.

doesn't look to be synthetic...maybe a horn or something of that type. Looks like the cue is VERY well done. Wish there was a way to find out who made it...easier sell for you, but by the looks of it, worth every penny of your asking price. BTW, if it is an Espiritu, them's some good playing cues....

More info

I have owned a half dozen Espiritu's over the years so I am familiar with his cues. (They do play pretty well for me.) I am pretty certain this is not an Espiritu cue.

The veneers are of the old school thicker variety. I have had this cue for so many years I don't remember where I got it or who I got it from. I am going through a dealer case of mine that I found in a basement closet and plan to sell off a few cues that are not being used.

looking forward to see what else of yours is going...

Hello Kevin, Please post a photo of the bottom of the cue with the bumper removed so that we can see the weight bolt.

Thanks Craig

Nice points

do the points match?

Punchout

Three points are all the same length. One point is maybe 1/8" shorter. Same scenario as you see in most cues. Basically the points all runout nearly the same length. I don't think you or anyone else would have a problem with the points in the cue. I will try to get detailed picture up tomorrow night.

Thanks for the interest.

Kevin

No trades please

I have had a few trade offers. But I am still looking to sell the cue to thin down my collection. Will have pictures of the butt section with the bumper removed tomorrow night.

Thanks

More requested pictures

Here are the pictures of the butt section with the rubber bumper removed. The cue does have a weight bolt as I thought. This is a very solid cue and well worth the 600 dollar asking price. I am not using a few cues and plan to sell them off at reasonable pricing for someone else to use and enjoy.

any buyers before I try to raffle the cue

I am not neccesarily trying to find out who the maker is as much as I am trying to find a buyer for the cue. I am not using the cue so am looking to sell the cue.

Thanks

500 dollars shipped.

With all due respect as the cue looks very nice, my question is how can you possibly "set" a price when you have no idea the true value of the cue since you have no idea who made it which means you have no idea when it was made? Im not trying to start an argument or anything im just curious.

Have you ever tried to sell a cue here and posted the thread asking for offers.

The buyers here jump down your throat and say please post a price. Half the time those types of posters are typically not buyers unless you are practically giving the cue away. In this instance by posting a give away price I thought I would have all kinds of buyers interested in the cue. I would love to have put a price on the cue of 1000 dollars as I think that's what the cue is worth. On the other hand would is going to pay 1000 dollars for a cue of and unknown maker.

What would you offer for this cue? What does the value from apperance suggest that the cue is worth to you?

Bottom line is this is a quality cue with no name that I am trying to make available for someone to be happy with as their playing cue. For all those (and there are many) looking to buy low and resell high, this is probably not the cue for you.

Thanks

Kevin

I notice it has the 9/16th" SS sleeve. Not to many cuemakers use that. Might help narrow it down.

Craig

What is the "normal" size ss dimension typically come out as in size?

Thanks
