Is this a Pre-date Franklin?.. Don't see any SW logo on the joint screw. If it is pre-date... authentication paperwork??

It is not pre-date, they do not engrave the Satin pacifier cues.

That answers my question. So, how would one authenticate these being made by Southwest instead of ?? ? Bill of Sale?

I've owned one and can assure you that is a Southwest satin cue, and secondly, Chady is a highly reputable seller with nothing but top notch cues....

What he said^^ ...call me crazy but I wouldn't ask for anything from this guy. The only reason you might want some sort of authentication is to help it's resale - if you are ever willing to part with such a cue.

I have no doubts this is what he says it is and he is the upstanding person you say he is. My question is not regarding him .. it is regarding the general authentication of one of these. If I owned one and were attempting to buy or sell one out in the non-AZB world, how would one authenticate it? Supposed I saw one someone is offering that I liked and wanted, how would I know what I was getting. Is there a maker's mark under the bumper like Richard Harris cues or a maker's mark under the wrap?? Surely they mark it somewhere for authentication later.. Don't they??? Totally a legitimate question. I can't believe there is nothing on the cue authenticating who made it. It may be just me... but if there is no way for me to prove a cue is made by SW when it comes time to sell it..... I will never own it. Look at how many George Balabushkas were sold as authentic years back that weren't.

What you mentioned above - bill of sale - could be one solution. The other is sending to SW for authentication - but I know this latter option does not answer you question perfectly. I honestly don't know how does SW authenticate their PJ cues but I guess by measuring given parameters and looking for given construction elements. That is my non-expert opinion.

He is in Taiwan visiting his parents for Chinese New Year and has only checked email a few times over the past week. I know this because I bought a cue from him a week ago but he is very communicative when available.

Shouldn't be a big deal to anyone here unless they are going to buy it....
