The BEST 4x8 case on the market for the money! $90

This is the best 4x8 case on the market bar none when it comes to true protection for the money. You owe it yourself to do real true comparisons when shopping for a case of this size and here is why.

http://www.cuesight.com/sth12k.html

For $90 you get a hard shell that doesn't crack and splinter under impact like the other cases out there. That's right, whack it with a baseball bat and the other cases will splinter. Ours will bend and absorb the impact and not break. This is because I don't buy the cheapest possible plastic tubes and I test each batch we buy for consistency.

The case will hold 32" easily.

You get lots of padding inside the case, protective foam rubber that is sandwiched in between layers of soft fabric that doesn't absorb moisture and polishes your cue with every use. If I came to a show with the fabric used in some comparably priced cases and asked you to rub it on your cue you would look at me like I was CRAZY. Yet you think nothing of buying a case without knowing FOR SURE that the fabric is non-abrasive. With my cases you certainly get fabric that is gentle and soft.

When you have a case with this many cues in it and NO PADDING what do you think happens when it falls to the floor? That's right, the cues all clatter against each other inside the case. A single cue weighs about 1lb and 7 ounces with two shafts. That's 5lbs and 12 ounces of expensive art banging around. What does a single ding in a nice cue do to it's value?

Is that the risk you REALLY want to take? Especially when the alternative is to have REAL PROTECTION at a lower price.

So when you think of putting four of your expensive cues in a case, cues that you probably want to sell, you should be thinking about how well they are really protected.

I am TIRED - absolutely TIRED and DISGUSTED seeing people selling absolute CRAP and calling it good simply because they are selling it.

This case is the best in it's class bar none and it's less expensive than other similar "looking" cases on the market.

$90 for true padded protection? Aren't your cues worth it?

if the case bends when it absorbs the impact won't it still damage a cue about as much as a case that cracks?

It doesn't bend enough to harm the cues. The shell absorbs the blow and difuses it.

As soon as I find the right card to process my video from my ancient but still functional Sony video camera I will be putting up lots of videos on this subject.

As I said I am tired of all the crappy cases for sale and the fact that so many people are putting their top dollar equipment inside of cases that are harmful to their cues.

Is there a smaller version?

I just ordered one (4x8)
I will give my best review when I'll get it

I ordered a 3x6 and am waiting for it to get here :) I will also let you all know how it is. I am sure it is good quality, from what I have heard from another member who owns the 3x6 case said you cannot get another better case for the price range. Plus, the way I see it, always spend the money with a fellow AZ member than with a complete stranger, let's keep it in the family!

it looks pretty dang decent to me. Not that I don't love my soft 4x8, but there are times I want to bring three good cues with me and my break cue.
Thanks for bringing this to our attention.

Nice case John. Looks perfect for what I need. Occasionally I'll take a few extra cues to a tourney with me. This will do fine. I'll swing by & grab one from Ken. Thanks.

Good looking case. May jump on one. Do they make these for 5 butts?
And is Sterling a subsidiary of Instroke?

Sterling Gaming is a wholesale billiard supplier and has nothing to do with Instroke. At one time they were an Instroke distributor.

I used to own Instroke and when I sold the name I went to work for Sterling.

This past year I began to make cases again with the result being that Sterling's case offerings are being upgraded with better versions of existing models and a bunch of new ones.

We don't have a five butt version of this case but you can fit five butts in this case if you put one in joint first into the shaft compartment. This works because the fabric liner is flexible enough to move as needed.

I ran by & picked one up today. Nice case for the money. John has some type of foam in the bottom so that when you open the lid all the shafts & butts pop up several inches. I like the zipper lid to...no latch to screw up.

I have the 2x3 and I can't imagine people needing anything else in a case. They're definitely top of the line in their price class, and even better than some above that. They really are remarkable cases when compared to the pure crap I've bought for $90 (or even $150).

John is it like Reactive Armor on the M1 Tank. Are there little explosive charges under the fabric that diffuse and deflect the impact or projectile?:D

Just kidding John, looks like a nice case at a good price!!!

Well the closest thing I could get here and stay under $100 are firecrackers which are in abundant supply and cheap here in China. :-)

Speaking of firecrackers one of the scariest things I have ever gone through here was the first time I was in a car and we were following another car full of people celebrating a wedding. The people in front of us were throwing out packets of lit firecrackers and they were popping under our car as we drove. This was freaking me out but nothing happened.
