Tournament - Results

Hello Everyone,

Here are the results of the March Last Saturday 10-Ball Tournament at Hot Shots in Cypress, CA. We had a field of 22 players come out and participate in the event. Some of the stronger players that participated consisted of Jose Parica, Ismael "Morro" Paez, Ernesto Dominguez, Oscar Dominguez, and Tang Hoa.

1st place ($275.) - Ernesto Dominguez - Split
2nd place ($175.) - Oscar Dominguez - Split
3rd place ($125.) - Ismael "Morro" Paez
4th place ($80.) - Tang Hoa
5th & 6th ($40.) - Joel & Greg Harada

Ernesto played very strong going undefeated all day. A classic matchup between Ernesto Dominguez and Ismael "Morro" Paez, some could argue two of the best Los Angeles based Mexican players to ever hold a cue, played for the hot seat with Ernesto coming out on top. Oscar showed a lot of heart falling behind in a few of his matches only to finally fall into the One-Loss side by the likes of Tang Hoa. This didn't stop the fight in Oscar. He was able to fight all the way through to split the 1st and 2nd place prize with his father.

Sidenote - Please spread the word about this tournament. I would like to see a full field next month. Unfortunately, the 2nd Sunday of the Month Hollywood Billiards Tournament has been cancelled due to lack of participation. Let us learn from this - PARTICIPATION IS KEY TO THE LIFE THESE LOCAL TOURNAMENTS. We'll see you all at our next event.
