I can't use it for practice. I don't know why, but I just can't do it. I did put The Deadstroke Tapes and Overcoming Contenderosis on it though and I listen to it while I am on the way to the hall which helps a lot.
I just don't like how with headphones you can't hear the true sound of the balls and the tip hitting the balls.
I don't know about the Deadstroke Tapes, but the Overcoming Contenderosis tapes are hypnosis based. You aren't suppose to drive and listen to them. Actually it even says just that in the beginning of each session.I did put The Deadstroke Tapes and Overcoming Contenderosis on it though and I listen to it while I am on the way to the hall which helps a lot.

Shoot I hadn't thought of that. I'm gonna go down and see how that feels right now.

I love it for practice it definitely helps for focus. Not for tourney play though.
I love it, blocks out all the annoying sounds - crappy music, constant woofing, and most importantly those who haven't learned to eat with their mouths closed.
I use an MP3 player as I don't like the iTunes software. I play better with it in but have been playing lately without it as a lot of tourneys especially the national ones do not allow them. I do think one can become "mentally" dependant on certain things when playing such as LD shafts, ipods, etc. In my opinion it is not a good idea to use them 100% of the time.
