Well, I could've sworn I posted this once before, but it's no where to be found...very odd.

Okay, here is my fledgling 'collection', so far. I apologize for the crapola pic, but I have not honed my cue photography skills as of yet...LoL.

Ok now thats tough ...... it was hard to resist just that Paul Allers -Louro Preto/Curly Prather in a single picture .... but you pull all those big Guns out and thats an open challenge to the unbelievers of the Dark Force :grin-angelic: :rotflmao:

I will now also retreat and get all my Jeditechnologie put together for the Final " Return of the Jedi's" :outtahere: :grin-square:

Then we will raise again togehter standing side by side, against the dark Force of the unbelievers and lead them into the "enlightenment of Fullsplice" :grin-devilish:

May the force be with you "Princess Lisa" ;)

Berny :withstupid:

PS: I love them all ..... now tell me ...which one is your favorite Player (or should i say jedi lightsabers)

LoL. Berny...."Princess Lisa"!! :rotflmao1:

A favorite? That would be like asking which kid of mine is my fav...hehehe. Seriously, they are all three superior players. I am currently playing with the Allers, cuz well, it's new...LoL. However, there are some nights I pull out the Tucker...other nights I pull out the Helmstetter, and I suspect it will be the same with the Allers.

I kinda took what I liked best from the Tucker, and the Helmstetter, and tried combining them into this cue by Paul. I am quite happy with the results...the Allers is a solid player for sure!

Like I said before...I count myself extremely fortunate to have these three awesome little players!!

Full Splicers

Very nice post Lisa. Those look awesome and the Prather came out beautifully! I bet it's even more intense in person. Thanks for sharing. Looking forward to seeing your collection grow and grow. You have excellent taste. :D

Thanks for all the kind comments!! And you guys are too funny!

Sorry, but the Tucker isn't going anywhere...I had wanted one of Murray's cues since back in the old rsb days, and was utterly shocked when he told me that this particular blank had my name on it years later. Getting one from Murray is harder than finding hen's teeth...I could not possibly part with my 'baby' of the collection...it brings me joy every time I play with it.

I figured out why the Allers was so difficult to photograph outside...how often do you see a cue with a bright veneer on the outside of the veneer stack going into a maple nose? Dang thing glows in the sunlight...LoL. Sure plays darn sporty tho'! :)

The Helmstetter was a bit of a fluke...I initially wanted it for it's blank only...having seen a nifty conversion of one that Marcus had Jerry -R- do for him. But then I played with it, and well, all those plans for it went out the window...LoL. Battle-scarred and all, I decided to leave it all original. It suits me on those nights when I occasionally want to feel and go 'old school'.

I have given it some deep thought...and just could not see myself parting with any of them. I think I would have to be in the absolute most dire of situations for me to even consider it.

Again, thanks so much for the positive comments...it really means a lot. I do not make or have a lot of money to spend on cues, so when I do, I have to be very selective with my choices. Unfortunately, or perhaps fortunately...LoL...'impulse cue buy' is not in my vocabulary.

Lisa,

it really doesn't matter if you have 3 or 30 Cues for 3K or 30K in your Collection .... it's always the heart, love and appreciation you put into collecting, what gives it the real VALUE IMO :love2:

OMG! Craig...I completely spaced re-sending that email to you!! :sorry:

Thanks for the compliments. I seem to remember you sharing a sweet player you made for yourself. ;)

I am thinking that one of yours might look pretty darn good in with the others. :yeah:

Those are great, Lisa. The Prather you had Allers do turned out real well. I bet that curly really glows w/ the blue next to it. The butt end of that Tucker is just gorgeous, my cup of tea exactly. I'm a sucker for blues - & teals, too. (Just check my Zinzola when it's done... both colors present & accounted for.
Enjoy them all!

Thanks Chris! Typically, Murray builds what Murray wants to build, with respect to the design elements...I think that is part of what keeps it fresh for him. However, I did mention "what if" about a butterfly in the butt...and what do you know...the cue was completed with one!! There is absolutely no run out/bleeding of the one veneer into the other...every line in this cue is just tight and clean...way prettier in person...in the pic it looks like ebony, but it is Bois de Rose...kinda has a black cherry color to it.

Yep, I am liking the blue veneers available these days...nice vibrant shades...that can really make a cue 'pop'!!

Can't wait to see your Zinzola....I like his work very much.
