3/4 case needed in the US

anyone have an 3/4 case with locks preferred in the USA that is willing to sell?

Just got back from the US open and picked up a slightly used but real nice Parris, the catch.... no case

I will have one as soon as my cue gets here.......................I have a leather one but ordered a black aluminum with the cue, to help keep it safe during shipping.

Hopefully it will show up soon!!

Congrats on getting the Parris. I'll be curious to hear how it compares to other snooker cues. I'm also interested to hear your opinion on whether you think your game is affected if you switch back and forth between a pool cue and a snooker cue.


Do you know if a place called Q Spot in Chicago is open and still has a snooker table? I have an address for the place but no phone number, and it may have even changed its name:

In a few weeks I'll be posting a list of all U.S. pool halls with snooker tables. Maybe the list will help you find places to play.
 
Ive had quite a few snooker cues, my most recent one was a 1/2 joint cue made by a local cuemaker, it hit great and is nice, but i feel the best hit for me is the 3/4 cue.

perdon fletcher 1/2

The parris has a different hit, you really feel it in the back of the cue, and it is brutally stiff, but it goes where you aim it.

As far as the pool hall your referring too, dont believe its there, or if it is it doesnt have a snooker table.

In illinois, On Cue in grayslake has two exceptional tables properly kept up and maintained with Stratham 6811 cloth, one table is a club table the other is a match table with tighter pockets.

I've been thinking of getting a Mike Wooldridge cue, but his online shop was taken down for maintenance just after I registered.

Yup, they're on my list. I understand that On Cue (a.k.a. Cue-N-You Billiards) is the home room of Tom Kollins.

Do you have any interest in this case.
I don't have a picture right now, but it looks like a standard black 1X1 from Guiseppe but extra long. It will hold 41". Made for I persume a 3/4 snooker cue. It has two pouches.
It is unused in perfect condition.

Yeah, I have been lucky enough to have Tom Kollins work with me for the last 4 years.

Here are some pics. It is leather with two pockets. You are suppose to be able to run over these cases with a car and not hurt the cue. ;)
I wouldn't try it. :(

cool looking case, is the butt sleeve as deep as the shaft one? or is short to fit a 3/4 butt?

The butt sleeve presently goes full lenght. You would have to install the proper lenght dowel to keep the butt portion of your 3/4 up where you want it. Shouldn't be hard to do. $100 delivered & insured USA seems fair. Let me know.
 
Measure your shaft first, methinks 40" might be 1" or 2" short seeing as the 4 3/4 cues i have each by a different maker are 41" to 43"

Getting a 3/4 case in the states is a problem, you either go the handmade route or pay though the nose with postage from overseas.
The solution is to look to a fishing rod case.

A while back on thesnookerforum.com board an American had this poblem and found an inexpensive extendable rod case. If you sign up there search for "Wity's cue cases" a thread i started regarding simple tubular one piece cases you'll see a link to the actual rod case he bought. (i cant read the thread being banned and dont remember the link)

The case I spoke of will hold 41" no problem. Maybe another 1/2" once you compress the bottom padding.
