For sale is a Creole Freddy Yates cue.

I picked this cue up in a trade about a year ago and it has been my backup cue for some time now.

This cue honestly shocked me by how well it hit. The curly maple on this cue is fanastic.

This cue weighs 19.1 on my scale with either shaft. There are two shafts at 12.8 and 12.9 with new Moori (I believe) tips. There is a little blueing on the shafts from my play. The wrap is a brown fake leather ostrich skin. The ring work is also nice and uses what I believe to be the old red melamine. The joint is a 3/8" x 10 pin wood to wood.

The growth rings on the shaft are fantastic. These shafts were definitely made from old wood stock and this is reflected in the playability of the cue.

Originally I picked this cue up from GoTulane a well known member on here who I hope will also attest to this cue

I'm listing it for sale for $375 with shipping included in the ConUS.

Here are some pics of this fine piece of machinery.

My Album of this cue

I know this cue extremely well. It has followed me for years, it seems. It has come back to me at least 6 times over the past several years, and it may wind up with me again, if it does not find a good home.

I picked this cue up from Kreole Freddie at Herman's in Dothan, Alabama the Christmas before Freddie's unfortunate adventure. I had been in Dothan visiting home and hanging out with my very good friend Larry Krebbs (of K.O.Korral, Enterprise, Al...may he rest in peace). We went to Dothan and shot some pool at Pockets, then headed over to Herman's and hung out with Freddie for a while. I picked up this cue and a few others that Freddie had built right at the end of his relationship with David Barber.

This is truly a great cue and a heck of a buy. The curly maple is the best I have ever seen on a cue. It just has an iridescent quality to it. The shafts are old-growth, with very tight grain structure, and the cue really plays well.

If you don't find a buyer who can use this cue in a couple of days, PM me.

Freddy Yates Cue

Yeah,

I was the one who did the deal with Michael. Having picked up this cue some time ago from Bama this is one of the few cues I have let go while downsizing and always missed it. This cue looks and plays lights out and for the money this cue truly can't be beat. If somebody out there is looking for a Great player at a great price I would strongly recommend this Freddy Yates cue.

P.S. - These are my pics and although not the best you can still see how nice the figure is in the cue.

Good Luck

Paul

There is something kind of magical about this cue.

I'm making room for two southwest cues due this year or otherwise I'd be keeping this bad boy.

Sunday can't come soon enough. I told myself if I still have the same cash I have right now on Sunday, I'm buying this baby. :D

EDIT: Go post 555
