It was me and I am not going to remove this thread. The name signed on it is Brianna and that is what I will sell it as; wether it is you Brianna or someone else Brianna.
I agree about this to an extent, what if its another cuemaker named Brianna? If the signature is under the finish then it might be another maker because I doubt someone would make a fake Brianna cue, it just does not make sense unless it is some sort of joke. Either way it looks like a good jump break. :smile:Personally, I think that is a serious mistake.
We have seen numerous counterfeit cues on AZB over the years (most recently, I think of the Gina). When it has been brought to one's attention that it is a fake, and especially when the cuemaker himself confirms that this is a fake, it is wrong to continue to offer it as genuine.
This looks like a very decent cue butt, and should bring your asking price even without it being a "genuine" Brianna cue.

I think Genuine losses a lot of its meaning when Balabushkas are still being made. As you can see I did not state this cue was made by the fellow AZer Brianna.
I am not trying to bust you or anything with what I stated. It is just best to err on the side of conservatism on here. If you are ever uncertain of anything, just state it up front. Folks who are in the know will help you more than bust you.

Couple things from me...not that it's worth a spit....
Jensen, I must concur with the others....the man says it's not his, it's not his...maybe rephrasing with something like "the name Brianna is written under the finish" in your sales pitch. Having the name "Brianna" under the finish DOES NOT mean it's a cue made by Mr. Malakoff under the Brianna brand name. If I had a daughter and named her "Meucci" and in dedication to her I had some schlub make me a cue and put her name on the cue before it was finished could I sell it as a Bob Meucci cue? The magic eight ball says "All signs point to no"
Mr. Malakoff, no disrespect, I hadn't heard of you before stumbling across this thread....I have to say now, you have a new fan. Your work is brilliant from what I can tell in pictures. Your Art Cantando Tribute cue is one of the most beautiful cues I've seen in a long time. I think both Art and Barry Szamboti would be proud.
Best regards
Mattie
My name is brian and I made the cue. It started off as a sneaky and then a friend of mine (ned anderson) said he needed a jump break, easy conversion so I added a joint. The reason for the letters appearing in the follopwing order is my name-brian and the original owners initials, N.A. The periods in between the initials came off during the finishing process. Sorry for the missunderstanding and all the hoopla...
btw this butt should bring a lot of money, as Ned Anderson was a true road player who never once played in a tournament, yet still made enough money in his lifetime to support his eleven wives and two boyfriends...
I thougt it was bullsh*t because if you were signing a name you would have capitalized NA at the end.
