Alright, for all you who wanted it, I've scheduled a training course Aug 1, 2 and 3rd at Pro Tyme Billiards at 11925 S Cicero Ave, Alsip, IL. 60803
All I ask of the mechanics that want to attend is that you schedule your attendance with Felice at Simonis so I know how many rooms to book for you at the Comfort Inn in Alsip. Call her at 847-360-9209 with your name/address and phone#
Ed Hiller, room owner, is paying for your stay at the Comfort Inn, and yes we'll be booking more than one person to a room
so you'll have some buddy's staying in your room with you, I think this also helps everyone get to know one another for future purposes of building a support group.
At this training seminar we will be breaking down 10 GC3's, 2 GC4's and 2 Diamond 7ft Smart tables. The GC's will all be broke down to the frames, then reset from there up.
What we'll be covering is the following:
Bracing the framing of the GC's.
Leveling 3 piece slates using a more than likely new leveling system to most of you.
Installing Simonis 860HR using my gluing system, and pocket work.
Recovering rails, teaching my system of rail recovering.
Cushion replacement and sub-rail extension of one GC4 to 4 3/8'ths corner pocket openings.
Teaching the Diamond 26 point leveling system on 2 Diamond Smart tables.
Teaching the inner workings of the Diamond Smart table, how to repair/adjust and trouble shooting included.
This is going to be a free course so, yes that means there is no extra charge
I ask that you bring your tools with you, as you will be learning as you're working, what ever else you need that you don't have, I'll supply.
In order to get your room paid for, you need to be registered with Simonis by no later than July 28th, check in will be starting at noon July 31st.
If you have helpers that would like to come with you, bring them as well.
If there are any room owners that would like to attend, you're more than welcome to come by and watch, ask questions, or look and learn.
If there's any home owners with tables that would like to watch this training course, you're more than welcome to stop in as well.
Training starts 10am Saturday/Sunday/Monday mornings. This course is not about how fast tables can be recovered, this is about learning together as a group, retaining what you've learned, and the beginning of what will come soon enough as we start to pull together as mechanics to form our own organization.
