Scroll through around the 8 minute mark.

How did he do that? The commentator said high right. It doesn' look like it. Some of the comments say low left. The video looks like low left.

I tried doing it but i couldn't do it. The CB just kept going inside instead of going opposite after the second rail.

Anyways, that was a nice run out. The cross bank for the 1 to the two was nice and so was the four to the 5.

yeah it looked like high right. rodney morris did a shot like that. i've only gotten it to work once. i think the key is hitting it hard enough so that the english doesn't take until the second rail

here's rodney's more extreme version

I'm going to go with left hand english, if it was right it would straighten out on the opposite rail not shoot off down table. Doesn't english reverse on the opposite rail?

That aside, this was on the website propoolvideo.com. I wonder what happened to all those videos and how this one ended up on Youtube.

CB obviously had left english on it when it came off the second rail in order to get down for the 5 ball. Low left makes sense to me but having Corey's stroke helps too LOL.

Reverse technique, big in billiards,ALOT OF STROKE, ALOT OF FOLLOW THRU

What he said.

Hitting it with high will make it go longer than hitting it low, all other things being equal. The approach angle and speed into the 1st rail keep the reverse from impacting on that rail, allowing it to turn to running englissh on rail2.

On a billiard table, you will see the ball reverse off the 4th rail often. It is a real trip, dude.

Not to mention that the cloth was prolly brand new, with tons of slide.

The Rodney Morris version is detailed in Pat Fleming's "creative edge". I still can't get the cue ball to reverse off the 2nd rail to make it around the table.

I don't think he has follow or draw on it, just extreme left english. when it comes off the rail on the right side of your screen, left english would tighten up the angle and make it hit above the side pocket, which it did. Then, seeing as how it is hitting an opposite rail, the english has the opposite effect on the rail to the left of your screen, opening up the angle and sending it down for the 5 ball. There would be no need for follow or draw, because these would just make it harder to predict where the cue ball is going to end up. Even though you can't really tell just from watching him hit the cue ball if he has left or right english, you can tell that he doesn't have follow or draw.

OK, my bad... I just watched it again, and he does put low on it. The 4 ball was closer to the corner pocket than i thought it was. So it was low left on the ball.

The shot happens at exactly 8:19 in the video on the 4 ball in case you're trying to find it.

It's a double reverse shot. Play bottom (not much bottom) with some inside left english. Stroke it firm, and the spin doesn't bite off the first rail. When it hits the second rail, it effectively has left english on it, and it comes down table. Tough shot when you first start hitting them. After you get the hang of the shot, they're still tough, but very makeable. You just have to get the feel. Not a lot of draw, a lot of sidespin, and a confident stroke.

This is a post of mine copied from the post Watchez cited....

I seen Cory shoot this shot for the first time 7-8years ago on a tight GC with 860 Simonis that was 6-7 months old. I've seen him hit it from a few different angles as well. The diagram below is the sickest shot I have ever seen anyone complete. He it it at break speed on the said 6-7 month old cloth... Same shot as the thread topic but at this angle on old cloth IMO is way more impressive.
