I need advice, guys.
I've got two Brunswick Gold Crown IV, black & crom, 9ft, tight pockets, and I can't decide what to do with them.
My options:
1) Sell them (already have a private gameroom with another pooltable, an old Soren Sogaard table)
2) Rent a room and make a game-room with pokertable, 2 (or 3) pooltables, a small bar etc. Visit small companies and sell events to them, like "Company Championship" and things like that. Not a room open for public, just for companies, (don't want to bother with license etc) group of friends wanting to do something different a night, birthday-parties etc. I think that if I can get 1 event like that a month I can cover the costs with running such a place. More events = profit.
I believe monthly costs would be like $ 1000 with rent, power etc., and I believe I can get companies to pay atleast that amount for an evening with some trickshots, pool tournament (and poker?) and a pleasant evening with beers in a private place. I could order some pizza and serve them too.
Option nr 2) demands a lot of work, but it would be fun, and with just a little luck and hard work I could have a small extra income on pool. (Will it be worth it?)
Option nr 1 is easy to do, and gives me some cash right away, but is it smart to do? I could make perhaps 10 x more during the years by doing option 2, right?
With 2 pooltables I can even do small invitational tournaments at shopping malls and hotels etc., here in my hometown, and try to make some money on sponsors too.
I could sell just 1 of the tables, and still make a gameroom with 1 Brunswick table and the Soren Sogaard table I already have, so that's an option too...
I am in absolute no hurry to sell the pooltables, so will spend some time figuring out what to do.
Anyone have some other suggestions or ideas? Please share them with me.
To "pooladdict", "t" and "joeya", no, I am not selling the pooltables and using the money to go to Galveston. That's not an option, even though it would be one hell of a trip
