Snooker Stance - Mark Wilson Principles

ok, guys, i doubt anybody will agree with me here, but i've basically decided to scrap the stance that Mark Wilson taught me last December. it is just too uncomfortable, and i havent seen any positive results using that open stance with my arm well away from the body.

i have now been using the Snooker stance (like Romford Slim aka Steve Davis) and been playing better with it. it is much more comfortable than the stance Mark Wilson wanted me to use. however, i have been using some of the principles Mark Wilson taught me in this Snooker stance. such as keeping the arm a little more away from the body, paying more attention to striking the cue ball precisely where i want, trying to keep the upper arm straight and not dropping the elbow, and bringing your shooting hand up into your chest area causing the tip to end up down on the table.

it seems to be working well right now. i ran some racks with this new stance last night, even made some shots i wasnt sure i would. plus i seem to have straighter draw shots this way also.

regards,
DCP

could you post some pics of you with mark wilsons stance. then post pics of you with the snooker stance. lastly, post pics of you with your stance before you saw mark wilson.

very very hard to figure out what you're stance looks like from your online descriptions.

You sure you got it right? Seems to me that as you open the stance the elbow comes closer to the torso and, vice versa, a closed stance enables the elbow to be farther out.
