Before I start the review, I would like to thank the guys for taking a classical design and turning into a beauty of a cue.
The guys I would like to thank are Tommy Clements and Jess June out of Jackson, TN in what once was McDaniel's old shop.

Blank:
The blank on this cue is a John Davis blank with 2 splices.
The veneer pattern is Black, Orange, Green and Natural.
The blank is extremely solid and perfect throughout.
Finish:
Exceptional looking finish where it is smooth, shiny, consistent thickness throughout (inspected with a 10X and 20X loop), and the work appeared flawless.
Joint:
The 5/16x14 joint is one of my favorite joints for a playing cue.
I have seen some different takes on the standard 5/16x14 joint and this one did appear to be a different implementation of the joint (3/4” Ivory over Linen).
But the cue screwed together well, the joint thickness was consistent between the shaft and the butt and the feel during play is consistent with 5/16x14 joint – Firm!
Inlay Work:
As for the inlays, the inlays to be discussed include the inlays in the forearms, the butt (dashes, diamonds and spearheads) and the ring above the wrap (ring is actually an inlay).
All the inlays appear to be cut exactly to size and the pockets are a perfect fit for each inlay.
I really like the way the butt came out with the inlay design and the execution by the craftsmen on this cue.
Wrap:
The wrap of choice for this cue is a Black Elephant Ear Wrap.
The seam on the cue is nice and tight.
One of the things that impressed me was the fact that there are no noticeable glue spots on the edges of the channel from the wrapping process.
Truly attention to detail by the guys at the shop!
The wrap on this cue has an excellent feel to it.
I am really starting to enjoy the Elephant Ear wrap since I was introduced to it about a year ago on another playing.
Shafts:
Both shafts appear to have a nice density, nice taper and both have full length ferrules (I am most accustomed to the longer ivory ferrules for now).
Both shafts have matching ring work to the butt of the cue and the rings line up very nicely.
Tip:
The tip that was selected on this cue is the Kamui MS with a black fiber pad (standard arsenal in my tool bag).

Overall Impression:
The workmanship throughout the cue is exceptional.
Truly a lot of value for the price!
The play of the cue is great with a nice weight, balance, very good feedback through the joint and the amount of off center hits to induce spin (English) was effortless.
Very impressed with the cue and the work!
If you ever get a chance to play with a cue made by Tommy Clements and Jess June, you will be in for a nice treat in a very well constructed cue with a timeless hit to it.
