Mook! What's a Mook?
Silver Member
Long-time 3-cushion billiards hall owner/operator William Charles "Bill" Maloney passed away yesterday after a lengthy struggle with emphysema. He was 70 years old.

The former owner of Gold Crown Billiards in Hollywood, Florida, Bill turned his Corner Pocket Billiards in Wilton Manors, Florida into an internationally known mecca for world class 3-cushion billiards. His tournaments over the years drew participation from every big name in the sport, from Sang Lee to Cuelemanns, Blumdahl, Carlos Hallan, and others.

Billy grew up in New York City and played in the famous Julians pool room on 14th Street.

Rest in peace Billy.

Jim
