Pool Players from the DSM, I may be at it again!

Currently on Thursday nights we have no tournament to play in. This can change though. The question is what kind of tournament???

Whatever it is I think $10 buy in sounds right. Of course get some added money in the pot as well. If I do it, I do want to give folks what they want.
 
Assuming its the location I think I would be able to stop up if I take a night off of league on Thursdays. Let me know how it shakes out.
 
I voted for the mixed tourney. I like the idea of testing your skills at both.



2 problems though with your ideas I for-see.

1. Thursday is a HUGE league nite. 15+ valley-only teams and 9 BCA-only teams play on Thursdays. And thats not even counting apa and tap and eastside league and city league. You probably wont have a big turnout.(i know how crazy you are about league talk! Not trying to piss on your parade, just letting you know whats the 'skinny' on Thursdays)

2. If you would happen to have a big turnout, having a mixed tourney would last a long time and most nights it would last past AM. The old Smokey's tourney that was a race to 2 8-ball with 20-32 people would last that long, the big dogs tourney 8-ball lasted easily past AM. Imagine if you also added in a race with 9 ball....

I like the idea though

There's no place in town that has the big tables to have a big table tourney. Also face it, no one would play, I had to come to terms with that myself. It's a bar table town, hence me only playing rarely when I can get my head into it. The nature of the beast is run out pool, I'm ok with that.

I would love to know where this tourney is gonna be played at?? I'm in either way!
