I don't think they're that much different than last year.
First place is 40 dimes.
Third place used to be 10 times.
That's all I can remember.

I haven't been to the Open in a few years, but if memory serves me right, you only need to win one round to get in the money.
With 211 players, this is a payout to approximately 45 percent of the field.
Considering it costs AT LEAST 2 dimes to stay the entire 8 days of this event, to include the mandatory players meeting for the American competitors, this form of such a large percentage of the field receiving a payout helps a great deal with expenses.
I am quite sure the players do appreciate it.
I can see the line outside the door at the Chespeake Conference Center office now, players waiting to get the cheese. Some players get paid in CASH, but towards the end of the event, the bigger amounts are paid via check.
And then there are those players waiting for their counterparts to get paid that they had a saver with, so that they can receive their cut. LOL!
The Joss Northeast 9-Ball Tournament pays out 25 percent of the field, with more money to be paid on top.
Another regional tour in my area pays 40 percent of the field, with the payouts disbursed to more competitors.

You need two wins on the A side or if you lose the first match, 3 wins on the B
