The idea of a Carom Streaming Fund was brought up in another thread by billiardshot. I like the idea and thought it was worthy of it's own thread.

If Steve E wants to do Warren again, I will gladly help with anything he needs(accept money, I'm unemployed for over a year and can't spare a dime).

Steve A (zensteve), here is your chance to help. After the fine job do did of putting together the Olhausen Open and lining up sponsors for the event, organizing this Fund should be easy for you.

If anyone has suggestions or ideas on how to put this together, please post them here.

Seriously, billiardshot and sde have a good point. What better way to share the game we love with an expanded audience than live streaming?

I don't mind getting the ball rolling so to speak.

I will contact Bill Johnson who is in charge of Warren.
I will contact John Jacobson who is in charge of Iowa.
I will contact Jim Shovak and perhaps the board can allocate some funds.

Sde, what does your schedule look like?
Billiardshot, do you have a paypal account or I can run it thru my business account which takes paypal,visa,mastercard,american express.

Sde, you have good connections with Accustats. Can they be a conduit?

You are very welcome.

My schedule is pretty tight this time of year but I think I can make it to Warren if needed. After the first of the year I can get away almost any weekend with enough notice.

As far as the Fund goes, I think it would be best if it went through the USBA, if possible.

Maybe the new prez can find an extra cue somewhere. DDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD are you listening?

SteveA, yes I have PayPal, but since I'm honest a nonmember of USBA. Any money/fund should be handle by a USBA Member in good standing. As I mention and already discussed with SDE what I would start with in donation.
Beside tables, tournament, and money. Live streaming is what needed to made growth in 3C.

What would be a reasonable fund allowance, when all expense is consider?

Bob you are the man! :thumbup2:

Expense for me to travel to Warren would be
Fuel ~ $50
Lodging for 2 nights ~$65 x 2= $130
Food for 3 days ~$40-50

I try to sell a few DVDs of the matches that are streamed and recorded to recoup some of expense of equipment already purchased and for new items that are needed to increase the quality of the streams.
