I have had this cue for about 6 months now. I had Wes make me two new shafts. He used the old ring work off the old shafts. This is without a doubt the best playing cue I have ever owned. Balance, hit, and feel are great. Its a sister cue (one of two) and has an Ebony forearm with 5 bloodwood points. Ebony butt with 5 bloodwood points. Bone spears in all ten points. The cue was made in 1994 and has a 3/8 10 pin and elephant ear wrap put on later. Joint Protectors made by Jim Baxter (great work Jim!)

The other sister cue has Bloodwood forearm cue with 5 ebony points. Bloodwood butt with 5 ebony points. Bone spears in all ten points. I would like to know how owns the other sister cue.

Hunter Classic cues are very underated. Wes taught Eric Crisp (Sugartree Cues) how to make cues (CORRECTION: Eric already knew how to make cues for a long time - sorry for the error). He has the best shaft wood in that I have ever seen. Great customer service also.

Hunter Classic cues are great playing cues.

I do not mean any disrespect but I do not believe this is an accurate statement. They are both from the same area in New Mexico but Wes did not teach Eric how to make cues. They are both in an interview on The Action Report saying that.

Your new cue is very beautiful.

Congratulations,
Chris

Nice set by JBC aka Jim Baxter & Christy...Looks like the Cuemaker made them..
I agree, Jim makes nice caps at a very affordable price.

And I also think Wes makes great cues..
+ They are both good friends..:sorry:..

Wes' cues are par with the very best, most elite cuemakers in the world. No question about it. His execution & quality of construction are as close to human perfection as I have seen in any cue regardless of cuemaker, and he's does it consistently.

I guess that is the reason why you live no too far away from Wes :ok:

No disrespect taken at all. Thank you for correcting me on this error. I was told that and assumed it to be correct.

I must agree with this. In the last few years I have played with a Scruggs, Bender, Capone, and Judd. I like the Hunter Classic cues better for playability, balance and "The Hit". Wes is a down to earth guy who has outstanding customer service. I can't say enough about how nice a guy Wes really is.

It's a common misconception, no biggie. And it's not entirely untrue. I have learned a lot from Wes & feel i'm a better cuemaker because of the freindship we have. We share knowledge freely. We also work together to advance & refine cuemaking techniques. In the end, his are his, mine are mine. He didn't teach how to build cues. I was a successful cuemaker long before I ever met him. But he certainly has given me knowledge & experience based know-how that would have taken me years to achieve otherwise.

Thank you for your understanding Eric. Hopefully I can hit with a Sugartree someday since they are one of the hottest selling cues on AZ Billiards.

I hit a few balls with this cue, it is not only Beautiful, it hits very solid. Really like this cue, everything works togather, Beautiful rings, nice cue. Thanks everyone for the complments on the J/ps also, appreciated.

I own 3 of wes's cues and have a 4th on the way. top notch, gl on your sale.

Just to be clear. THIS CUE IS NOT FOR SALE! I'm not going to sell the best playing cue I have ever owned.

I do agree with you though - they are great cues. Probably the most underrated cuemaker out there.
