Rick Howard For Sale

Cue Guru

Close, but no roll...

Hello, fellow AZers.

This is the Howard I won in the raffle a few months back. I used it one night since winning it, and it is a fine playing cue, although a bit short for my preference.

I also spoke to Rick today, to verify some things to be sure what I say this is, is what this is. And it is.

So, take a look!

Although it is a break/jump design, it is NOT a standard maple MACE. The forearm is either Cocobolo or Bubinga (according to Rick- he did not see photos) and based on the appearance I would have to go with Cocobolo myself. Wrap-less, it has a nice piece of Bird's eye maple for the handle.

It was in fact once owned and used by Shannon Daulton back in '92.

Rick did indeed refinish it and also made the new (single) shaft for it.

It has stitch rings at the joint which a standard MACE does not come with.

It's straight and weighs approximately 19.5oz (I have not weighed it myself, but this seems right, and is based on the auctioneers description).

The joint pin / jump pin(s) are both 5/16-18; flat-face wood to wood joint as on a typical MACE.

The tip is Phenolic, and can be replaced if needed, as it is not integrated into the ferrule.

There are no dings, dents, or anything wrong with this cue, although the case it was shipped to me in was not good at all, and the finish received some surface scratches because of it that I have removed, so the finish is 100% again.

$750 Is the replacement cost for this cue from Rick as of today.

The cue is signed and dated by Rick in the butt; although I doubt you can see it in the photos (black on Cocobolo??)...

Looking to get $350.00 in my pocket for it; so add shipping at whatever speed/cost you like and PayPal fees if you pay that way (which is preferred). for a total of approximately $375.00 within the US. If you have an account with FedEx for example, I am happy to use your number- no mark-up by me on shipping.

Thanks for looking! If you want more info, feel free to contact me at 516-242-3933 this weekend to chat as I won't have e-mail access; or PM next week. I don't really want to sell this because it plays so well (in spite of it being a bit short for my taste), and I am not making a ton of money on it, but I am in a financial bind right now...:frown: If it does not sell before Christmas, I will keep it. Look for other cues for sale by me as well, and don't forget my Joss raffle!

Thanks!

And it plays better than it looks.

No disappointments here- like I said; if it doesn't sell in time for Christmas, I'm just going to keep it.

If you know anyone looking for a MACE, they can get this custom for the same money!

Everyone is looking for a break cue, and they pass on this one...

Let's get this to a new home! I need to put oil in the tank! (which sort of equates to burning this cue for heat...)

Another shameless bump! I still need CA$H!

This is a great cue. No flash here- it just gets the job done; and done well.

Already have a MACE? Up-grade to this fantastic custom without sacrificing a thing! It has a history as well! A fantastic player that is welcome in the most elaborate or modest of cue collections.

Thanks for looking!

Well I said I'd keep it, and I have until now...

I have not removed it from the case still, and it needs a good home.
