Guys -

I guess everyone on AZ knows I love these old Josswest cues. I just took this one in on trade and it is awesome. I look at alot of old Josswest cues and I can say I have never seen these veneer combination.

The cue is Rosewood into Maple. The Rosewood is grainy and has great character. The Maple and I couldnt get a picture of it, has the "rings" that you see on the side of really good shaftwood. I think everything on this cue was picked out special. It is just too nice.

The cue is fresh from Phillippe where a complete refinish of the cue was done. It is wrapped in white with black spec linen. I must confess, I have hit balls with both shafts and once you read about the shafts you cant blame me.

The butt is 28 1/2 inches, 15.700 ounces
Shaft #1 12.5mm, 30 1/4 inches, and weighs 4.075 ounces.
Shaft #2 13.0mm, 29 1/2 inches, and weighs 4.682 ounces.

These shafts are old and have a darker color than the shafts of today boys and girls. They are fabulous shafts and this cue flat out plays great. The 13mm shaft made my heart skip a beat.

Everything is straight. I have my other old Josswest that is my daily player and this cue is too nice a player not to go to someone that will play with it. (Did I mention the killer shafts...)

Anyway, I offer money back guarentee less shipping. But if I can get you to hit some balls with this, it wont be coming back. I am looking for $1250 shipped, or OBO. Trades considered, either up or down.

Thanks,

Ken

Very nice piece. How old would you estimate the cue to be? I didn't see a "JW" anywhere on the buttcap. Might it have been replaced?
Thanks.

It is marked on the buttcap, but I didnt have it in the photograph. It is 72-80, and I would guess early verses later.

The buttcap is either hard plastic or ivory. My player has delron and is entirely different.

JW classic

Ken glad to see another one of your great cues,And its a classic by Bill Stroud,I have a 1974 Eboney 4 pointer with titilist colored veneers from when Bill moved to Colorado springs it is all original,I have told several guys sorry its not for sale, I like it.Hope you do well,I may get the chance to come to the DCC,Maybe I will get to say Hello to you if you are there, I am in Florida and its what we call snowbird season(that time of year when you make it or break it as far as your big picture is concerned).I would like to come to see alot of good matches as well as old friends from the area.( I was born In Cincinnati) I was good friends with Gary Spaeth, he was a great bank player, I watched him play a lot of great players like Piggy banks and some others. If you dont get any takers give me a shout maybe we can do something .Happy Holidays to all.

All PM answered. For those who tried and my mailbox was full, please try again.

I would trade up or down, or sale outright at good price.

Keep the offers coming.

Still getting offers. I would accept trades plus cash or where I add cash for your cues.

Is there a weight bolt in the cue? :)

Thanks,
Jeppe

Im sure there is, as on these old Josswest cue thats how the bumper is attached.

I have a extra weight bolt so if the weight needs to go up or down that would be no problem.
