My New Business

Congratulation. But I Thought I sawzzz a can of Silcon in the cornerzzz. GL on the venture!!!!!!!!

Im actually glad to see that medical pot is growing to the point where niche marketing is needed to differentiate yourself from the competitors. They should allow MM is all 50 states.

100 %

I am a medical marijuana supporter and a pool player. I have Neuropathic Pain which they want to treat with methodone. Otherwise I am awake at 2 am. MM and I sleep like a baby. I support you and what you are doing.
Don P.

I support legal MM too, but we'll probablly never see it nation wide for a long time. It would put pharm companies anti depressants and pain meds out of business, plus the Gov has to come up with a way to control it and tax the hell out of it first. One word...probably spelled wrong...hydrophonics. Johnnyt

smokin' video

Jamie:
that's a smokin' video if I ever saw one... congrats, good luck and happy new year!

Good luck Jamison. I'm in for a lesson. Rumor has it you've moved and settled in.

Really??

I'm all for Medical Marijuana in a controlled environment. However you are obviously targeting more than just the medical marijuana market. Using the leaf and bud pictures as well as the subtle "hit" remarks....

Marketing our sport combined with illegal drugs is not a way to move this game forward. It is already bad enough that I have to wait between sets at the local tourney while my opponent goes out back to get high.

I get the business strategy ....however I do not support this at all.

If you can honestly tell me that the idea is 100% to promote Medical Marijuana as a form of helping people than please accept my apologies.

Dave

What exactly is the market for this business? I could guess, but I'd like to hear from the founder(s). I saw mention of a forum to share video & such...is that the conduit for establishing relationships or is that the product itself?

Dave, Respectfully I must say that if you do not believe that Medical Marijuana helps people, than I'm afraid you haven't a clue! Just because it also has the effects that make people feel good shouldn't keep it from people who REALLY NEED IT for relief! Close minded people and greedy industrialist are the only reasons it's illegal now, in any form! No one has ever overdosed, become physically addicted to or gotten pumped up and wanted to fight as a result of using marijuana! It's one of the most researched plants on earth and every reputable scientist who's studied it has concluded that it's probably harmless, definately safer than alcohol and tobacco, and should not be illegal. The only harmful effect is in the legal system which is obviously broken when it comes to MJ laws! Only someone with their heads in the sand could in this day and age consider MJ harmful to the point that it should be illegal and otherwise law abiding citizens imprisoned for it! It's pretty plain that we're losing the war on drugs. I feel that this is largely due to the governments stand on marijuana. They teach kids in school that MJ is evil, the gateway drug, addictive etc... These kids aren't that stupid. They often know their parents are using it and they are not evil! They know other kids who try it and before long they experiment themselves. They can plainly see it's not the "evil weed" that "big brother" has been claiming. Now we tell them to stay off of cocaine, herion, meth because it's evil, addicting etc... How can we expect them to believe us when they know we've been lying to them about marijuana??? You've got to be real!

just more hot air!

I pretty much agree with this fellow. associating pool with the MM awareness movement has more negatives for pool than positives. I am not anti MM and lord knows as a child of the 60's I experimented with all manner of substances at one time or another....so I'm not taking a holier than thou stance either. It is all about perception....how the public or better yet.....the public media...will respond. My feeling is that the overwhelming majority will associate stoners with pool players upon discovering your site. Your desire to point out the many positive medical benefits of MJ has been at the forefront of NORML (sic.) for many years, and they have some modicum of respectability amoungst the media moguls. You on the otherhand will be perceived as just another pot head that happens to enjoy pool. My thought is that your efforts and time would be served by joining Norml and volunteering your services. They already have a pretty good track record.......Dan

Hello everyone, my name is Tom Collins I am co-founder of Billiardbuds.com with Jamison. I have never participated in an on-line forums before, but my good friend Deek-a-mon said I have to join AZ, because it is the place to get your voice heard. I would like to start out by saying a little bit about myself. I love pool, I got bit by the bug about 18yrs ago and have been playing ever since. I have been fortunate enough to have played with some great players over the years, and they taught me to appreciate the game in all its forms. I started experimenting with the masse shot, and put out some videos on you tube and metacafe under "shootercollins", wich is how I became friends with dennis and jamison. I had a person close to me wich had MS, this person has now passed on, but I have been a witness to needless suffering. With any issue there will be people on both sides of the fence, if not for personal use yet, medical use should be available to people who need it. To let people suffer, just to protect the intrests of pharmacutical company's, is just wrong any wich way you spell it. Open minds and intellegent conversation is the only way things will change. Our web site will offer forums on this controvertial subject, and will be a place for people to voice thier opions openly wether they be pro or con. On a less hot topic,
pool players will have thier own forum to discuss, and connect with players from around the world, members will be able to upload videos and showcase thier skills, video instruction on masse and other artistic shots will also be available for members. We will offer a wide range of products,
for strokers and smokers, this will be a relationship building company and we invite everyone to visit the site, which should be on-line in mid january 2010. Anyone wanting to get behind this, contact me at prego_collins@yahoo.ca, we are looking for products to showcase.

thanks Tom Collins

Happy New year!

I'll be posting something regarding your questions sometime today just wanted to bump it to the top so I could find it better.

Really Sherm said enough...Thank you Sherm glad to hear from you on the topic...

Thank you everyone that is with us on our project, and if you are not please read through our upcoming web site before you pass final judgment. We plan to have it up and running by Jan. 15th

To answer just a couple of the PM's, and post's here.

I am not sure how you got the idea that I was only supporting medical hemp products. One of its many uses is helping 10-100 of millions of sick people as an affordable safe medicine.

It is also in my mind an ideal crop for growing on large farms. It may grow so well and so fast that no chemical's would be needed to grow it which means better air and water for us to live. That would be smart. What is being done now with corn is a gross use of the land... I'll bet many of the people left farming out there would agree.

I plan to give a good section of our web space to information about the products I think could help the world, made from hemp. Not just medical, not just industrial, also agricultural, and yes even recreational...
For example, it can be used everyday cooking.

I hope that I can help to inform people of all the positive effects that hemp could have if we grow up about it.

Meanwhile I am still in search trying to find one negative effect directly caused by hemp. If you think you know one please post it here so I can look into it more...
