Black Boar RS-2 New Wrap

This is my first Black Boar. Mike Webb repaired and refinished this cue. I spoke to Tony about the signature and he said he only signed a handful of the older four pointers this way. I wanted to change the look of this cue so I asked Kenny Koo to install the wrap. We all know he is truly the best at leather wraps. He decided on a real Lizard wrap that is chocolate colored to match the very dark Cocobolo. Here are the pictures he sent me. What do you guys and girls think? I want to thank Kenny Koo for such a wonderful job and great service.

The new Kenny Koo K-Lizard wrap looks like it's still alive.
Very nice work.

Terrific looking Boar, especially with the rare signature.
I've also heard that Mike Webb does outstanding work.
Apparently my old BEM Josswest was refinished by Mike Webb and it looks like a new cue.

Great job

Great cue!! Mike Webb did a masterful job restoring this cue, especially preserving Tony's signature on the forearm and the Black Boar logo in the butt section. I am at a loss to understand how he accomplished this. Very nice wrap. Lu and Paul Del Giudice.

That's a really nice older BB. Mike did a great job, and Tony's acknowledgement is big - so is his sig, of course. Very cool!
The new wrap is just right. Kenny does such nice work.

Beautiful restoration! Great looking cue. Doesn't get much more classic than that.

Knowing Mr. Koo I will say that he has an uncanny ability to pick the best wrap for a cue. He won't just put a 'black' wrap on a cue. He will find the best type of hide, the best texture, and then go through dozens of shades of black before he picks one. The right one!

Hope you enjoy your cue for years and years to come.

Wow.. that cue is stunning. Classic and the wrap sets it off perfectly. I never get tired of seeing simple points and veneers in maple.

Thank you guys for the compliments. Kenny Koo is a great person to deal with. I should have the cue back tomorrow and I can't wait!

Hey Chris,
This is what I like about Kenny's work.
He is able to transform an already awesome cue into a monster cue.
Kenny probably has wraps that would match my hair color  and that makes all the difference in the world ;). Also, his work increases the value of the wood he touches. He is not Midas but he did some magic on this monster Black Boar.
Congrats on this job Chris!

Thanks again guys! This wrap is perfect. I had to look really hard to find the seam.

I will be looking for an extra shaft for this at Valley Forge. Let me know what's available.

Chris - Thats a keeper. Wow, very nice, have you played with it yet ?

Yes I have. As a poolplayer, when you are able to play with a cue that has been repaired and you can't tell is a great accomplishment to the cuemaker.
Mike Webb has done an outstanding job. This is exactly why he has EARNED his reputation!
