Need a referral, New York City Area

I have a guy who needs a pretty simple shaft made for a one of a kind Palmer. He loves this cue and absolutely won't ship it or leave it anywhere, but will drop off a shaft to duplicate and return for the final fitting.

Do you know of any cue makers who could whip out a simple, black collar shaft in Staten Island, Queens, Brooklyn area? He can also drive to New Jersey.

I'm hoping for a referral to a reliable cue maker who is not too buried to make a shaft in a few weeks.

Here's an option that requires no travel by the cue or the owner:

If the joint pin is properly centered in the butt, he could have almost any cue maker make him a shaft that will fit nicely. He'd just have to measure the joint diameter precisely and also tell the cue maker what other spec's he wants.

If the pin isn't centered, however, this option could result in the shaft not being perfectly flush with the butt around the full circumference of the joint.

By "duplicate" I suppose he wants identical shaft profile, tip size, and ring work.
I could WHIP him out a shaft ... but I doubt he would like it.

I can understand someone not wanting to be without their favorite cue but really ... if he wants a quality job ... then he needs to let the cue maker have the butt for a day or so and be fitted the right way.

i can do it for him chris. i dont have exact collar material. are you involed for parts? i do have a white pearl type material tho. in just outside ac. 10 mins exit 140 off the parkway
