derby cue?

Has anyone ever had a derby cue?
just wondering because i am sure i have one here at home.

About 4 or 5 years ago Eric Durbin was playing with one of these cues at the Derby, I think he was playing Cliff.

derby

Are you talking about the derby cue company? If so Wayne Gunn and T.R. Mcintosh used to make them down in Tampa years ago. I've heard recently that Buddy Hall is selling Derby Cues. I don't think Wayne has anything to do with it , I don't know who the new maker is?

Here is the one i have, looks like a 2005 one of one if the pic's worked lol

Yes, I wasn't the only cuemaker that Greg gave permission to make "Derby City Classic" cues and use the logo as an engraving on the cue. He made that clear that he wouldn't give anyone an exclusive right though. Greg looks out for cuemakers too.

is this one of the cues you made then? This one has on the butt Jerry Franklin commemorative 1953-1996 1 of 1 DerbyCity classic 2005

No, I did not make that one. I'm not sure who else made DCC cues but I've had friends and customers mention seeing others. This is actually the only one I've seen I didn't make with the exception of one Billy Gibbs made and I engraved the LOGO on. But as I said I knew there were others.

Okay nice info, I thought maybe you had made this cue, i was going to say nice work, its a cool looking cue one of many i be parting with in the near future.
