Help ID an old cue for a friend...

A good friend of mine purchased this cue from a guy who bought it second hand in the early 1980's. The base wood is Brazilian rosewood and it a full splice cue. The cue was just refinished by Dennis Searing who commented on how well the blank was made for an old cue. It was Dennis who identified the base wood. Any info would be appreciated. By the way, my friend was told that it was a Burton Spain when he bought it. The cue was purchased as a butt only, so both the shafts are made by Dennis and can't be used to ID the cue. The cue likely looks better now that it did was it was made, I'm not kidding.
Thanks again,
Dan Z

I sent this link to Tate so I expect the definitive answer in about 12 seconds.

Thanks man

I can't wait to see what you all think it is. I can tell you its very well made and feels perfectly balanced. My buddy wants to keep it un-hit as he may be selling it in the near future.
Thanks again,
Dan

Searing didn't know? Yikes!

Kevin

I wonder what Craig (manwon) thinks.

Kevin, I have an idea but I would need to see the bumper removed so that I see the weight bolt along with the screw that holds the bumper on, and the bottom of the shafts.

To the post OP please add the additonal photo's I requested above, and I may be able to help.

Take Care

I like the blond linen phenolic joint sleeve and stitch rings. Just tell me, do you think it was made in the US? I hope you are well and business is good.

Kevin

Thanks you sir.

Sir, I know that Dennis replaced the bolt/bumper and screw. My friend kept the original parts, I did'nt think to take a picture of them, I'll see if I can tomorrow.
Thanks again sir,

are you selling the cue?

send me a private message on how much u are selling it if u are

Cue fix and Jayman nailed it. It's a Stamboulini. I had one just like it..... but for some reason I don't remember my shafts being that nice. Go figure.

Wow...

You guys are good. I take my hat off to you all. Truly a collection of CUE AFFICIONADOS here on AZ, that's for sure.
Thanks to you all,
Dan Z
I got to admit, I can't believe the cue was ID'd that quickly...and definitively.

Wow right down to the model number!

Value?

Thanks

Kevin

I couldn't ID this but it looked like a Helmstetter to me too.

They're made by Adams and Julio is a ficticious character. They probably have similar values to the older Adams cues plus some percent. The shafts are worth a lot.

Thosed old Helmsteter/Adam full length spliced handles are high quality - specially those from the 1970's.

I like the way they used the canvas phenolic on this cue.
