CNC programs ...

I have had some requests for CNC programs.

I am working away from home and the internet here blocks my outgoing mail so it is hard to send the CNC files out that way.

They are done with BobCad.

If you are just starting and need to look at some programs to help you learn or if you just want to see some of my designs here is the link.

The file 000-Catalog contains the index to the designs.

001 thru 099 are small designs
100 thru 199 are larger designs
200 thru 299 are point and butt designs
300 thru 399 are handle designs

Most have the g-code files some do not.


Feel free to download and use them any way you want.

Bill, Willee is a great source of information. I already have a copy of his inlays. I will be happy to give them to you when you come to visit. He has shared these freely for awhile now and I know he won't mind.

Willee, we need to come up with a data base that we can post cad files on. That way basic drawings can be shared. I don't believe this should include g-code files as every person should post these out themselves. It would be best that when running a program you know how it will behave. Any thoughts here.

What program is needed to look at these CADs? When I click on any of them Windows says it needs to know what program to use.

I think converting them to dxf or dwg would be nice.
So they can be edited. :thumbup::D
I like the g-codes.
They don't have the "safety" block but they run on editnc and mach3 .
 
DFX files would be more universial.
The drawings I have are mostly BobCad files.
I used version 20 but any version of Bobcad shold open and display them.

The G-code files are basic for the DeskNC processor and are included mainly for educational and reference use. I do not guarantee they will run on any machine but they have been run on my CueMonster with no problems.
It would be best to use just the profiles to make your own tool path and G-codes as the proper offset between pocket and part can vary for each machine.

I really dont know if a database would be a useful thing as most people would rather make there own designs.
However, having a profile to start with could be helpful in developing new designs or learning new things about programing.
I learned about subroutines by studying a few programs that used them.

I am having problems with my breeze which Jim Babcock is helping me with. He's a Breeze expert and bobcad / mach3 specialist and he's working with me which is great.

I also need a machinist to help me configure my lathes (big lathes) to cut shafts and cut point groves etc. Anybody have any suggestions it would be greatly appreciated. I need to cut some groove points soon and taper shafts and butts. I have a new jET 14 40 BELTDRIVE amonst other lathes.
I'm tooled up and ready to go but I need to configure my lathe for a backchuck and to cut points , shafts etc. JUST JUMP RIGHT IN IF YOU KNOW HOW AND ARE WILLING TO HELP. I think it's great that you offered everyone those cnc programs. Maybe I'll use one down the road. I need help running them right now
