Mezz is far and beyond above any other production cue I know of. Schon is the best American made, and very, very nice cues. But Mezz is on another level, IMO.

thats what I have heard a few people say, I havent played with a Mezz yet, i hope I can soon.

Schuler in my opinion was the best production cue, low volume compared to others and some were true customs.

i went with Schon, as I've never hit a ball with a mezz yet. For the price I would have to say that Joss has the best affordable production out there, then Schon. Overall quality goes to Schon tho, but havent hit a ball with anything really new from them, hope they haven't changed.

I'll even throw Heubler out there too, most every one I've hit with (thats quite a bit) was consistent with the hit. Plus a good taper that felt great, and all the shafts are interchangable...not to mention most can be had for just a couple hundred. Most of the ones I've seen have held up pretty well also.

When i find new players talking about liking a Meucci and wanting to buy one, I always steer them to the Hueblers instead. Similar design, but better construction and just a straighter shooting cue overall IMOP.

I like Schon's very much, but just wish they had sharp points.....never cared for that Rounded point on a cue, it looks out of place/mismatched to me.

Predators are fine, just never shot with one that made me say, "dam this cue hits sweet"....they hit just fine, and definitely do the job....but the hit is just not natural to me...it lacks something. But then again I'm weird, so maybe its just me.

I would say Mezz and Schon, in no particular order, but I voted for Falcon because I own one and love it :)

i've played with a schon. nvr with a mezz. i believe this two are in a close fight.

btw, does a mezz play as stiff as a schon?

You left ot Dale perry.Im no fan of his but i understand he makes really nice production cues even though he calls them 1 of 1.

If Eric from Sugartree say's that Mezz is a good cue, I'd take his word on that. He definitely knows cues and makes a mean one too.. JMHO

Best is a tought question with production Cue from $13.00 At Wal-Mart to Schone, and MEZZ at the other end of the spectrum. How much do you have to spend on a BEST?

In the old days I played with a Joss. I liked the feel and hit over the Shon which to me felt like click or something. Never really warmed to one.

Paul Huebler

Best that I have hit with so far. I wish I had a chance to me the man because he has changed my game.

Schon, hands down, is the best production cue. Outside of a custom cue, I don't play with anything else.

I'll get one in your hands next month. I'll introduce you to the Mezz rep. She's a sweetheart. And the cues are simply beyond production level quality. You'll be surprised. Seriously. I'd love to have enough time to hook up with Miki (the owner) & spend some time in the R&D dept. of their company. I'm not sure who is making the decisions on construction & materials, but somebody over there knows cues. A brief discussion with him at VF & i'm seriously impressed. He told me his family has been in the cuemaking business for generations. He does it, his brother does it, his father before them, etc. They have that old Japanese mindset of only the very best being good enough. They are doing with production cues what Cheesecake Factory is doing with chain food. Unbelievable. You being a cue connoiseur will understand what I mean when you see one. Gimme a buzz & i'll fill you in.

They also do a lot to promote the game & they keep several pro players employed.

Miki Company, LTD certainly does have a very impressive back ground in the billiards industry. This is the Japanese company that Richard Helmstetter re-tooled for Adam Custom Cues around 1969. In fact while people thought Adam Custom cues was a company all it's own, it never was, it was actually Miki Company all along, and they were always a separate entity even though they only built cues for Adam. So with that back ground it isn't that surprising that they are making great cues today.

hmm.......

years ao, i played with a production cue called a Mohawk. it looked like a Southwest, same rings, pin etc.... and was a great wood to wood joint cue. matter of fact, i wish i still had it. i still, to this day have no idea who made them. i mean, it may have been a spinoff company or something, but it was one that i really remember well as hitting great. and now that i have moved on from being a steel-joint user, to a wood to wood affinity, i really think about that cue alot lol. great hit. would love to know if any are still around.

BLS.
